Audrey, the beloved and only child of a wealthy family, had been raised in luxury, indulged by her doting parents. Yet, their love quickly turned to disdain when she refused to marry the president's son, the man to whom she had been promised since birth. Instead, she fell passionately in love with a young man from a poor background—a scholarship student at her prestigious school.
Her defiance came at a high cost. When Audrey became pregnant by the man she loved, her parents disowned her, casting her out of the only life she had ever known. Undeterred, Audrey and her lover planned to marry as the birth of their child drew near. But on the day of the wedding, her world was shattered once more.
