She, having lived under the shadow of the Queen, made a solemn vow to protect Jae-Yul from the painful truth of his noble lineage, a choice that plunged them both into hardship and concealment. It was only after her untimely death that she unveiled her secrets, leaving behind a letter that detailed everything. Initially consumed with thoughts of revenge against the royal family, Jae-Yul soon realized that his desire would be futile against such powerful enemies. Jae-Yul began to rebuild his life, and through continuous struggle, he found himself standing before the king to reveal the truth. The king, realizing the Queen's influence, employed sufficient pressure on her until she reluctantly agreed to accept Jae-Yul. However, she imposed a strict condition: no one must know of his existence prior to this revelation. Fast forward 8 years, in an unexpected turn, Jae-Yul entered Ha-Neul's life and proposed to him through his influence. However, once engaged, he neglected Ha-Neul for 4 years, which made Ha-Neul end the engagement publicly. Faced with the reality that he could no longer manipulate Ha-Neul's feelings, Jae-Yul now had to figure out how to win him back. Would he resort to deception or intimidation, emotional manipulation, or find it within himself to genuinely love? The question loomed large: what would it take for Ha-Neul to be persuaded to marry Jae-Yul once again?
