Descendants of Gibbous

Damien’s life is turned upside down when he discovers his only family and sister Ahara, whom he’s believed to be a gym instructor, isn’t human, and that her main source of income to take care of him comes from going out at night and hunting what he soon learns are beings like her—rogues—who devour humans for power. It is during one of these discoveries that Damien encounters a fateful event that changes the course of his entire life—his abilities awaken and he learns that he too isn’t human but was born a vampire like Ahara. However, he is too weak and can’t assist his sister with hunting rogues. Determined not to lose his only family and to protect Ahara, Damien enrolls at an academy set in another world called Gibbous, where young heroes-in-training master their abilities and aim for the top spot up the hero ranks in a world where power means respect, riches, and glory. However, as Damien navigates this new world, his hazy past begins to surface, revealing a dark history and a formidable foe who killed his parents—and may still be coming for him and his sister. With his newfound powers and training, Damien is only left with two options: fighting or quitting. He chooses to fight, to protect his sister and everyone he loves, to avenge his parents, and to save himself and the world; but it all comes with a dire risk: facing the man whom his father—the strongest hero in his time—the Numen, couldn’t defeat. Will he be able to achieve his goal and become stronger than the Numen thereby granting him the power to win a war older than history itself, or will he crumble in the face of darkness and lose everything he worked hard to achieve and protect?
