My Retirement Plan is Universal Conquest

saucepan
So, you just finished managing a few multiverses, pruning timelines sharper than a Vorpal blade, and casually unmaking elder gods who got too loud. What's next? Retirement, obviously. Find a quiet, forgotten corner of reality, wipe the cosmic RAM mostly clean, and enjoy some peace. Maybe some tea. Meet Bob. His last job involved stress levels that would make a supernova look like a spa day. Now, he runs a perpetually failing antique shop in Oakhaven, a village located squarely in the armpit of Generic Fantasy World number 734-Gamma (or Aerthos, as the locals ridiculously call it). His goal: Absolute. Freaking. Quiet. THE PROBLEM: Aerthos is a festering boil of fantasy clichés. Hormonal heroes questing for glory (and frequently tripping over Bob's magically misplaced floorboards). Prophecies foretelling greatness (usually involving Bob, much to his disgust). Dungeons popping up like particularly aggressive weeds. And a Dark Lord whose grand ambitions Bob could literally sneeze out of existence, if he could only be bothered. Bob is powerful. Absurdly, reality-bendingly powerful. But using it is WORK. It attracts attention. It interrupts his tea. His 'solutions' often involve reality subtly folding like cheap origami out of sheer annoyance – a boastful knight mysteriously developing hiccups, an invading ogre suddenly finding its club has the structural integrity of wet tissue paper, a goblin horde finding the overpowering scent of compost far more appealing than pillaging. Join Bob as he navigates the treacherous waters of mundane life constantly interrupted by epic stupidity. Read his internal monologue roasting every fantasy trope imaginable. Witness the pinnacle of reluctant power, where universal conquest genuinely seems like a less annoying alternative to dealing with another prophecy, another adventurer, or another badly brewed cup of tea. If you like THESE THINGS: - Overpowered (but OVER IT) MCs - Snark levels exceeding critical mass - Ruthless dissection of fantasy/Isekai tropes - Comedy born from cosmic annoyance vs. mundane problems - Characters who just want everyone to LEAVE THEM ALONE Then pull up a wobbly stool (mind the dust) and watch Bob fail spectacularly at retiring.

Willorion

In our world, there are no humans, no great cities. Only the servants of Mother Nature—that is, us—and the hordes of darkness. Every year, they come to take the “ripened fruits.” This year, our protagonist, Skylar, enters the academy—but unexpected twists await her. Our heroine ends up in the Danger Zone, and she must make it through if she wants to survive. She barely manages to cross it, where the Headmistress and the leader of the training squad await her anxiously. When she reaches the finish line, the Headmistress scolds those who made jokes and escorts the frightened yet brave Sky to the main building. The students undergo an initiation, during which everyone’s abilities are revealed. Skylar is placed in a separate group, one that includes only her and the Headmistress—because she wields the full power of Mother Nature: water, wind, earth, and fire. It’s later revealed that she can also control dragons. Apart from her friends, everyone mocks her because she initially struggles to control her powers. Over time, a romance begins to develop between her and the squad leader. During the annual training, she gives it her all and becomes one of the top students. As more and more students begin to respect her, she gains just as many enemies. One day, some of those enemies throw her back into the Danger Zone, where she discovers her ability to control dragons. She returns to the academy as a dragon rider—wounded and barely alive—where the squad leader finds her. After she tells everything, the students who mistreated her are punished.

I Was Sent into Another World as one of the Four Great Kings

It was the year 2030, in the modern era of humanity. A virtual game was released to the mass public known as Isekai World Online, It blew up in sales and its marketing campaign was extremely successful. People went into the game and enjoyed its play style, even the graphics were realistic. People questioned who made the game, as the company that supposedly created it has never been heard of by anyone, and their location is anonymous, but despite that, people continued to play it. Millions across the world enjoyed it, and its fan base continued to grow. The main character, Lee Kennedy, was one of the first people to play in the game’s beta before it released. He and a handful of players would grind the game and level up the highest they could go. However, everything changed for everyone once they logged back into the game, to realize the true intentions behind this game. For so long, people questioned why it was called Isekai World Online, but now they were bestowed with the truth. Their souls were trapped in the game, abiding by the laws of this new world. ____________________________________ Warning: Novel has LGBT stuff inside of it, extremely dark scenes, NTR for side characters, and other horrible aspects. If you don’t want a dark story I wouldn’t recommend it. ____________________________________ Claimer: Novel cover is the official cover for Isekai World Online, no claiming as yours. (This story is part of 09th Garden Mythos. A collection of all my works that takes place in the same Multiverse)
