The Extra, the System, and the Returned Villain: An Impossible Escape

Moder_Gamer
Would you trade your current life for a world straight out of a novel? Before you get excited about swords and magic, let me paint you a picture: here you'll find a hero whose armor looks like it was ripped from bad fanfiction, a villain with a Nostradamus complex and a penchant for messing with the future , gods with marketing strategies worthy of a cult leader, demons with an insatiable appetite for other people's drama, and monsters with a rather... aggressive evolutionary menu. Our protagonist, Alex, a former waiter with a deep appreciation for his $80 weekly salary and his free weekends, had his answer crystal clear: "Not on your life!" He loved his average life, far away from heroes with "plot armor" (what the heck is that?) and villains with temporal existential crises. But the universe, it seems, has a terrible sense of humor. After witnessing a peculiar "direct Isekai shipping" incident right in front of his eyes, Alex finds himself stranded in this chaotic fantasy world, courtesy of a "System" with the subtlety of a fire alarm and a constant demand of "Alex, go cook, I'm hungry!". Caught between a hero with a predestined fate and a villain who knows it all too well, Alex has only one goal: to desperately find the "Return Home" button. His master plan: to blend in, avoid any plot that smells like "saving the world," and above all, keep his precious sleep schedule intact. However, in a world where destiny seems to have a strange fixation on him and a hungry System constantly pushes him into action, the average "extra" life he so craves might be the biggest fantasy of all. Will Alex manage to escape this pandemonium of light novel clichés, or will he end up being the most sarcastic (and best cook) supporting character in this disastrous Isekai?

New Mutant, New World

Hal Rayner wakes up in what appears to be a different version of the MCU. Now in the body of a younger version of himself, he must navigate this unfamiliar world, a world that carries its own weight of problems, with strong will. A vanished population. An earth in mourning. A hopeless society grasping for answers. Beneath it all lies a repressed fear that only the world leaders and government have—an unease surrounding the quiet rise of a new species that could challenge the future of humanity: mutants. A species Hal now belongs to. He will face the greed of the very people he once called his own, dodge their grasping hands that are eager to dissect and profit from the blood of his comrades, carry the sorrow of his kind, and temper the rage building inside him as innocents follow orders in the name of the greater good. He will endure for those he loves, for those he holds with compassion—for mutantkind. — This story is my spin on a marvel mutant fanfic. What I want to focus on is a story around the five years that half of the population went missing, as well as beyond, as I don’t really see any story based around that time at all. This story will also focus towards the rise of mutants, and how it would be in the MCU, at least, what would make sense to me with the established mythos of the movies. It will touch the themes of oppression, media control, racism, and all those things in the x-men comic. Everything before Thanos snapped his fingers for the first time will be what it was in the MCU canon, but after it will be entirely AU. Because of said themes, this fanfic will NOT be a face-slapping kind of fanfic. I will focus on the characters, their motivations, their trauma, and their struggle. Because of the circumstances of the MCU as a whole, most of the adult X-men cast that you know from fanfics or movies will probably not appear at all or will be in a different state that you usually find in other stories. The first arc of the story will sort-of be the New Mutants movie heavy rewrite. If that doesn’t interest you, then move along I guess. Aside from the New Mutants movie rewrite at the start, I will probably take very loose inspirations from Avengers vs. X-men, Civil War II, House of X, Fall of X, and all the post-endgame movies. As for chapter information. A chapter will be around 700-2000 words, depending on my mood and the pace of the scenes. I don’t have a fixed schedule, but I will most likely post in bulk, especially if the scenes are shorter and thus the chapters are shorter. Lastly, everything aside the MC doesn't belong to me, even the cover picture. art by sway art.

A Farmer's Journey To Immortality

"Battling young masters for some treasures in mysterious caves? No, thank you. What's so special about a ring containing an old sage's trapped soul? I'll just toss it away. Becoming a direct disciple of some big expert with many enemies? Count me out. I'll flip the bird to the pointless struggle in prestigious sects that only attract calamity. What I have here, this opportunity I've seized, is plenty for me. I'll choose safe and steady methods of progress, even if they're slow. After all, I'm just a simple farmer seeking peace through cultivation. I'll rely on myself to pave the way." - Aksai Everwood (Chapter 7) ============ Aksai Everwood was a terminally ill man in his past life who signed up for one last experiment and accidentally made history by merging his mind with an AI. Instead of dying, he woke up in another world with a new name, new body, and a magical farm. But this isn’t your average pastoral paradise. Spirit farming here means dealing with dangerous cultivation, chaotic realms, and the occasional reality-bending headache. Armed with neural tech, an enchanted farm that grows mystical resources, and the ability to travel between worlds, Aksai skips the usual sect life to blaze his own trail. From druidic powers to martial arts and body cultivation, he’s on a path to conquer many realms. ============ Additional Tags: #druid #bloodlines #Martialarts #worldhopping #artificialintelligence #coldmc #battlenovel #calculatingmc #villain #farming #spiritcultivation #mindcultivation #bodycultivation #worldhopping #rpgelements #low-keymc #sliceoflife #nonarrogantmc
