[This is Background story, won't be added to the story. Just some reference, I don't want to indulge into his past life.]
“Aaaaaaah!” The scream tore through the silent night, echoing off the cold, empty streets. The dying man’s gaze, thick with agony and disbelief, locked onto his attacker. “Why… why did you do this?” he choked out, each word a fresh stab of pain.
The stabber, eyes wide with a lingering terror that twisted into sudden triumph as he stared at the bloodied knife in his hand and the life draining from the figure before him, began to rant. “It’s your fault! All your fault!” His voice started as a low, frantic mutter, escalating with each insane justification.
“Yeah! All yours! I did nothing wrong! You shouldn’t have been here! It’s your fault things are like this! Because everyone praised you! Why not me? Huh? It’s obvious! Because of you! If you weren’t around, things would be different! She wouldn’t have left me! Yeah! She wouldn’t have! We’d have a child already! Not just one, but many!” His eyes darted wildly between the dying man and the crimson stain spreading across the pavement, a deranged smile stretching his lips.
“AGGHH!” He lashed out, his foot slamming into the dying man’s wound, grinding his shoe into the gushing blood, a chilling, high-pitched laughter ripping from his throat.
“EEEEEEEEEEK!” A fresh scream pierced the night, a bystander caught in the horror, drawn by the unholy sounds.
The stabber froze, his head snapping towards the petrified woman who stood frozen, her eyes wide with unimaginable horror. “Ah! I didn’t… you understand? It’s all his fault! You have to understand! If he wasn’t here, you wouldn’t have had to see this! Do you get it?” He stared intensely at her, his breath coming in ragged gasps, her entire body trembling.
“Did you?” he hissed, his gaze dropping to the bloodied knife in his trembling hand. “What did you get? DO YOU UNDERSTAND why I did this? No! You won’t understand! Unless… unless I kill you too!”
“YOU WON'T UNDERSTAND, UNLESS I KILL YOU.” His voice was a ragged snarl, his body coiled like a feral beast about to pounce. But then, his eyes snagged on the woman’s gaze, still fixed on the twitching form of the dying man.
“Yeah! He’s still not de-“ He started to turn, but a strangled cry was ripped from his throat.
“AH, YOU,” he found his knife in the man's palm, piercing through his hands. The stabber tried to pull it out, yet before he could, he felt… bliss? The blooded man has attacked the stabber’s family jewels.
He clutched his couch. Leaving the knife momentary.
Seeing her chance, the woman finally broke free from her paralysis and fled into the darkness.
And the blooed man took the knife and stared at the man before him. Feeling the gaze, The stabber looked up, his eyes widening in dawning terror as he met that emotionless stare.
All it took was a single moment for the blooded man, before everything had changed.
He knew, with chilling certainty, that he wouldn’t survive. A wave of dizziness washed over him, yet strangely, the pain hadn’t fully registered yet.
He looked down at the gaping wound in his chest, the blood still gushing. Time was slipping away, he knew. Every breath was an effort, every heartbeat a fading drum.
Incoherent gurgles were all he could manage, his throat seized with pain, his body devoid of strength. The initial stab had been close, so close to his heart, but the lingering moments were now his enemy.
“Don't come near me, don't.” he choked out, his eyes fixated on the bloodied figure looming over him. He was unarmed now, utterly vulnerable. He’d thought he’d die from the stab wound, not… this.
“No, NOOOOOOOOOOOOO, DON'T COME NE-,” His scream was abruptly cut short as the dying man, in a final, desperate act, lunged forward and plunged the bloodied knife into his throat.
Along with the writhing man, clutching his throat now, the man also fell.
…
He died.
