The day had gone by fast and the night sky's favourite star had arisen. As the year was nearly over, the nighttime had gotten much colder and the scent of winter had arrived.
Hui Lan and Su Rong had both secretly made their way inside the palace walls and into Hui Lan's new palace, Mei Lin Palace. After finishing his task, Xiao Mao was still fast asleep in his own tree trunk that Hui Lan had made especially for him inside her room. Though he was growing fast, he was still a baby or that was what Hui Lan thought.
After finishing a small meal, Hui Lan changed into a comfortable Empress attire heading outside for a 'stroll' around the palace or that was what others would think if they happened to see her outside.
Nevertheless, she wanted some space to think and was going out for her regular 'stroll' around the different sceneries hidden in the vast palace walls. Well, most of the time, she would be practising her sword skills in the different woods and today was one of those days.
