"KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
Screams could be heard amidst the blaring sirens as monsters flooded the street. Literally.
"BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! That's right, FLEE you insignificant insects! I am the DEEP SEA KING! Ruler of the sea, which is the origin of all life on this planet! That makes me the pinnacle of all life, and the rightful ruler of you worms!" Declared the monster leading the swarm coming from the oceans.
Thousands were following the Deep Sea King's lead onto the land, creatures that were twisted into beings like they had crawled out of some Lovecraftian horror novel. And it wasn't just here in J-City.
Every single city that bordered on the ocean was being attacked by the armies of the deep at the same time. And to bolster the aquatic forces that were attacking, the ocean tides were rising at record paces to seemingly wash away the city, and sheets of rain fell from the sky to drench everything. Despite being out of water, the Deep Sea King and his armies were not inconvenienced in the slightest.
They were even casually scrolling through the city as they invaded it, not at all concerned by the prospect of heroes or other monsters. After all, they were the pinnacle of existence! What did THEY have to fear?
"RUN AWAY!"
Panic filled the streets at the Deep Sea King's approach, and people hurriedly fled to the nearest emergency shelter where they believed they would be safe. Everyone, but the heroes.
Though they were terrified, though they knew that they would potentially die against this enemy, almost every hero in the world had rallied to fight against these impossibly powered monsters after watching the S-Class being defeated.
Of those that hadn't been defeated along with the others, both Drive Knight and Metal Knight were also fighting against the hordes of monsters. But they alone could not turn the tides of battle.
*BOOM!*
One of the heroes fighting, an older man dressed in a snakeskin suit, was then sent flying by one of the vanguards of the Deep Sea King.
"BWAHAHAHA! You insignificant pests are NOTHING before the might of the Lord Great White!" Roared a massive great white shark, one with lethal and powerful clawed arms.
"SNEK!" Cried out one of the heroes as he looked back at his fallen comrade.
"Do you really think you have time to be worrying about others?" Sneered a voice that sent chills down his back, before numerous slimy appendages shot forward to wrap around him.
"Guh!" The hero, Lightning Max, cried out as he was tightly squeezed by the tentacles that had captured him.
"You shall make a fine snack." Hissed the monster that had caught him, a creature that could only be described through the numerous myths and legends that had plagued seafarers for all of human history. The kraken.
"Bon appetit." The kraken hissed as it lifted Lightning Max up over its beaked mouth, preparing to swallow him whole.
"No..."
"No!"
"NOOOOOOOO!"
"..."
Just as he was about to be swallowed whole, the kraken suddenly dropped him as its entire body was vaporized.
"Kuh! Huh?" Max grunted, before uttering in confusion that he was still alive, and his opponent was now dead.
"What.....just happened?" He muttered in his confusion, before a soft sound permeated the rain and battlefield.
*Pa*
*Pa.*
*Pa*
Looking up, Lightning Max found himself staring at a beautiful and petite young girl.
She had long dark blue hair that clung to her body in the rain, along with the sundress she was wearing. She was also barefoot, which was the sound he had heard as her feet padded against the wet pavement of the road.
"Are you ok?" The girl asked with the most beautiful voice he had ever heard as she knelt down beside him, her beautiful and delicate features etched with worry over his wellbeing.
"S-somehow..." Lightning Max answered, just barely being able to get the word out as his breath caught in his throat. But then realization struck him.
"You need to get out of here! Quickly! Before the monsters get you!" He yelled, worried about her safety.
"I'll be ok. I am strong." She stated with a warm smile, before standing once more as she continued approaching the Deep Sea King.
The girl ignored the fighting going on around her as she approached the tyrannical and imposing monarch, who focused his attention on her as he knelt down to get closer to her level.
"I smell the sea on you." He stated in observation.
"Indeed. We are both beings who trace our origins to the sea. It is for that reason that I will give you one chance. Take your forces, return to the sea, and swear you will never attack the surface again. Do this, and I promise that I will not destroy you or your people."
"""..."""
Silence descended upon the battlefield, as monster and hero alike looked at her like she was crazy.
"Pft..."
"BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
The Deep Sea King roared with laughter at the outrageous demand and claim made by the little girl, followed by his subordinates as they struggled to even remain standing.
"HAHAHAHA! Do YOU, little human, truly believe that YOU can defeat ME?! Let alone all of US?!" The Deep Sea King sneered down at her in contempt.
"If you continue waging war against the humans, then I will be forced to." She replied, her tone saddened by the fact.
"I THINK I'LL TAKE MY CHANCES!" The Deep Sea King roared as he swung his massive fist down at her, intending to turn her into paste in an instant. After all, she was so small that she wouldn't even make a proper meal.
"Ahhhhhhh~!"
Before his fist could meet her though, the girl opened her mouth and began to vocalize the most beautiful, harmonious voice any of them had ever heard, while a pair of pure white feathery wings sprouted from her back.
Lightning Max, Stinger, even Snek, who was barely conscious, were all instantly reduced to tears upon hearing her voice and seeing her form. And as for the Deep Sea King and his army...
The moment she opened her mouth, the Deep Sea King and his army were instantly obliterated, to the point that not even a stain remained on the street or buildings. At the same time, the skies overhead began to clear, and the wounds the heroes had accumulated during their fight had started to rapidly heal.
"It's an angel... An angel has come to save us!" One of the nearby civilians shouted as they, and the others that had been unable to make it to the shelter, started coming out of hiding.
"I am no angel." The girl said, even as her song lingered in the air and the clouds parted to shine a ray of light down upon her.
"I am San Otonashi, a siren. In other words, I am a monster."
***
"How can this happen...?" Muttered Sitch, one of the officials of the Hero Association, as he watched the chaos unfold within their headquarters.
In every single city across the world, monsters were attacking in unprecedented numbers as they worked towards an obvious goal, the total annihilation or subjugation of the human race.
Monitors and screens flashed while sirens blared as the coordinators within the Hero Association struggled to keep up with the overwhelming amount of information flooding in, as well as coordinating with the heroes themselves in an effort to protect the people and fight back against the seemingly endless hordes of monsters.
"SIR! I've just received word from Lightning Max that the Deep Sea King has just been defeated along with his army that was attacking J-City! We've also received reports that the sea level is starting to recede, and the storm that had been strengthening them is subsiding!"
A cheer went up at the news as everyone grew relieved. After all, the Deep Sea King and his soldiers were one of the bigger factions attacking at the moment, only losing out to the Monster Association.
"Who did it? Which of the heroes delivered the killing blow? Send word to the upper brass immediately along with a recommendation for an immediate promotion to S-Class!" Sitch declared, while also making arrangements for the victory to be announced over the world. After all. Even if it was just one victory, it could help build the momentum needed to push back against the hordes of monsters that were threatening them.
"U-um... None of them, sir..." The coordinator hesitantly said, bringing the celebrations to a halt.
"What did you say?" Sitch asked her.
"None of the heroes defeated the Deep Sea King. It was HER."
As she said that, the coordinator played the clip featuring the death of the Deep Sea King, in which he and his entire army was obliterated by a single woman the second she opened her mouth. A breathtakingly beautiful woman, with pure white angelic wings. But her first words after defeating the Deep Sea King made all of their blood run cold.
"I am San Otonashi, a siren. In other words, I am a monster."
A monster.
Those words rang through their heads and poured freezing water onto their celebrations as they all truly realized what she was saying. And not only that...
"L-look!" One of the coordinators exclaimed as they pulled up the recorded image of the earlier broadcast, the one in which the man responsible for this, the Dragon Emperor, announced his wives. It was undeniably the same woman who was standing there amongst them.
"W-what do we do sir?" One of the men asked as they all looked to Sitch for answers.
"Isn't it obvious?" Asked a new voice, one that was calm despite the disastrous situation that was occurring.
They all turned to see a man slowly approaching them, a man they all recognized due to his reputation within the Association, and the eye patch covering his left eye. McCoy.
"She claims to be a monster, and she is a direct subordinate of the Dragon Emperor responsible for this. I would even go as far as to say that he conspired with these monster forces for them to attack us after he dealt with the S-Class heroes.
"If they want to claim to be monsters, and align themselves with them as well, then it is only fair that we treat them as such. I believe a threat level Dragon will be adequate for her and the others following the Dragon Emperor. As for he himself? We shall honor him by giving him the highest threat level we possess, threat level God."
"McCoy!" Sitch exclaimed as the other man gave his orders, which were carried out with startling efficiency.
Almost immediately Lightning Max, Stinger, and Snek all received their orders to eliminate the threat level Dragon 'monster' before them, San Otanoshi, the Siren.
That was only the beginning.
In every city reports started pouring in along with the footage from their drones and cameras, that numerous non-human beings were fighting back against the attacking monsters. And most incredulously, they were actively protecting the people.
"Just who has the AUDACITY to stand against ME?" Demanded a beautiful woman with long black hair as she strutted up to one of the most troublesome monsters, Super-S.
Super-S had the appearance of a beautiful woman that was attired in black leather straps and metal spikes that showed off the majority of her body, but under the mask that covered her mouth she was undoubtedly a monster. Completing her dominatrix persona was the long spiky whip that she held in her hands, which would turn those struck with it into her devoted 'love slaves'.
It was for this reason that she was given the danger level of Demon, as she could swifty turn those sent to combat her into her own personal army to take over entire cities.
As for the beautiful woman standing against her, the Hero Association had already confirmed she was one of the people sent by the Dragon Emperor along with all of those following her, a literal army of beautiful women that were capable of turning into large serpents.
Meanwhile, the Sky King and his army of avian monsters had been intercepted by a group of rabbit-eared beings that were darting through air as if they were dancing, allowing them to easily avoid the attacks of the Sky King and his people before they used a pair of dual swords to slice them into pieces.
The remnants of the Terror Lizard Clan, their ruler that was known only as the Ancient King, had also awakened to take this chance to take over the earth. Only it was promptly defeated at the hands of the people that the Dragon Emperor possessed, another rabbit-eared girl that was wielding a giant hammer.
One by one each group of monsters was readily dealt with with little to no known casualties, before they then proceeded to reverse death itself to bring back the people who had died.
Even the Monster Association was helpless against them, as the Monster King Orochi himself was easily dispatched by one of the girls, the crimson haired seductress that had been introduced as Rias Gremory.
"There is no reason to even debate this! Monsters, the lot of them! Assign them disaster levels that are appropriate!" McCoy declared, even as the emergencies passed as they were eliminated bit by bit.
Except none of the heroes were willing to attack the ones who had just saved them.
"This is a bit excessive, don't you think?" A voice declared over their intercoms that shocked everyone.
"Silver Fang?!"
"In the flesh!" The number three hero declared as he appeared on their screens, before he personally dispatched numerous monsters near-instaniously.
"Humph! And you worthless A-Classers want to try and show US up? ID~IOTS!" Declared another new voice as Tatsumaki reappeared as well, just in time to kill a massive octopus monster by crushing it with her telepathic abilities.
Not just the two of them, but all the other S-Class heroes had also reappeared(except Darkshine), joining the battle as they fought to keep the people safe from the rampaging monsters.
"I-I don't understand?!" Sitch uttered in disbelief, while McCoy's solitary eye widened in shock.
"Humph! What can't you understand, idiots? Alex only said he intended to take over the world to make us all fight seriously. HE has no intentions of doing such things. When he learned that the monsters were all attacking right now, he healed our injuries and sent us all back." Tatsumaki explained irritably, even as she used her psychic powers to pull every single monster up from the ground in her vicinity, and crushed them into pulp.
"Is that so?" Sitch asked, his tone full of relief even as McCoy's expression darkened behind him.
At that moment...
*Rumble.*
"""!!!"""
All across the planet, intense vibrations made buildings start to sway as numerous people struggled to remain standing.
It felt like an earthquake. One powerful enough that the entire world was affected.
"Where is this coming from?! Locate the epicenter!" Sitch hurriedly commanded the operators.
"Seismic sensors are picking up no point of origin... This isn't coming from earth!" One replied fearfully.
"Satellites are picking up the origin from deeper into space! Another piped up.
"Space?!" Sitch exclaimed in shock, even as the operator worked to pinpoint the exact location the shockwaves were coming from.
"Yes sir! And they are coming from....Mars."
***
*BOOM!*
Alex and Saitama's fists collided yet again with enough force that space itself trembled around them, and the ground between them was torn open just from the sheer force of their attacks colliding.
Ignoring the rapidly disintegrating planet around them, both Alex and Saitama had manic smiles on their faces as they clashed again. And again. And again.
Each clash had devastating effects on both the planet and space around them, effectively shattering Mars like it was a glass orb, as well as its moon and any other terrestrial bodies around it. But even as their battle was brought to the cold recesses of space, neither Alex nor Saitama halted or slowed in the slightest.
They were having too much fun.
"Super Serious Series: CLAP!" Saitama roared as he clapped his hands together, producing a shockwave that echoed throughout the entire solar system.
"Two can play that game!" Alex declared as he also clapped his hands, producing a similar shockwave of equivalent force to Saitama's.
The two shockwaves then impacted one another and, like two tectonic plates, produced a space quake so violent that even the surface of the sun began to ripple in response. While the earth was only still standing due to Kuroka and Grayfia working together to protect it.
"How about some Haki?!" Alex cried as he Gated so that he was right behind Saitama, his fist crackling with black lightning as he channeled Conquerors Haki through it.
For the first time in a long time, Saitama was forced to actually defend himself as he crossed his arms in front of his body, taking the hit directly as he was sent flying further into space. All the way to one of Jupiter's moons.
Saitama had to kick his feet to generate enough counter-force to slow his flight through space, allowing him to land on the moon Ganymede without completely destroying it. Though he did end up carving out a trench on it large enough to rival the Grand canyon.
Looking up, Saitama could see Alex hurtling at him through space to continue their fight. So Saitama reached down and dug his fingers into the surface of the largest moon in the solar system.
"Super Serious Series: CATCH!" Saitama yelled as he 'lifted' the entire moon up over his head, before throwing it at Alex.
The Dragon Emperor smiled manically as used the power of Nika to enlarge his hand until it was large enough to 'catch' the planet sized moon like he was using a baseball glove.
"You can have this back!" Alex declared as he chucked the moon back at Saitama.
Though his eyes widened briefly at the return, Saitama smirked as he took a stance despite floating in zero gravity.
"Super Serious Series: Consecutive Punches!" Saitama roared as he barraged the moon with thousands of punches within a matter of seconds, effectively reducing the entire thing into powder
Unfortunately some of that powder tickled his nose, forcing the urge to sneeze onto Saitama.
"Ah.... Ah.... ACHOOOOOOOO!"
Saitama turned his head as he sneezed with the force of an exploding star, directing said sneeze to the planet Jupiter to completely blow away the gases surrounding the molten metal core.
At the same time Alex came up and delivered a powerful kick to his stomach, one strong enough that Saitama was sent flying even further away from earth, towards Saturn.
At the same time...
"Lord Boros! We are detecting numerous spatial disturbances nearby! Please allow us to alter course for a safer route!" Declared an octopus-like alien being with shimmering blue skin.
"No... my destined rival is here. I can feel it!" Declared the cyclops that was captain of the space ship he and his minions were in, the Dark Matter Thieves.
The words were barely out of his mouth when the entire ship shuddered, accompanied by the sounds of numerous explosions before the cause of said destruction appeared directly in front of Lord Boros.
The figure was bipedal and similar in build to Lord Boros himself, with the exceptions that it possessed TWO eyes instead of just one, and a brown fur-covered tail extending from it's backside.
"You-?!" Boros exclaimed as he beheld the raw power radiating off of the being before him, even as they picked themselves up off the ground, and his excitement began to soar in elation.
"You must be HIM! The destined opponent the seer told me of that I have spent the last twenty years searching for!" Boros exclaimed as he rose from his throne and approached the figure in elation.
"Now! Stand before me! So that we may have our-"
*Squelch!*
"Huh...?"
That was all Boros could utter as he looked down in confusion, to find the figure's arm buried in his chest while his hand had burst out through his back. Clutching the jewel that had been there.
"You're in my way." Alex snarled at Boros, before he shattered the jewel and killed the captain of the Drak Matter Thieves like he was insignificant.
"To be killed...like a pest..." Boros uttered, before he collapsed lifelessly in front of his own throne.
Alex ignored the screaming of the army of aliens around him from the shock of losing their captain, and instead focused his attention on Saitama once more.
"I suppose its time we both started taking this seriously!" Alex exclaimed, before he took in a deep breath.
"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
Alex's energy skyrocketed as his black hair began to glow with a golden green color, while his figure began to grow significantly larger as his muscles expanded, and even his eyes glowed with pure white light.
The energy Alex radiated in this form was so intense, that not even the remnants of the Dark Matter Thieves had been able to survive just from merely being too close to him, and were all almost instantly vaporized. The same thing that happened to their ship, as the raw energy arched off of Alex in great bolts of lightning that reduced anything they touched to mere atoms.
"Oh? Looks like he got stronger." Saitama remarked as he watched Alex's transformation take place from where he was floating within the rings of Saturn. Normally such transformations bored him, as they did nothing to help make the fight exciting. But obviously that wasn't the case this time.
*...*
There was no sound as Alex appeared before Saitama suddenly, faster than even HE could follow, before he drove his fist into Saitama's face.
*KA-BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!*
The shockwave alone from Alex's punch was enough to completely destroy Saturn, Uranus and Neptune, while Saitama was launched through space back towards earth, which he barely missed before continuing on towards the sun itself.
"WATCH IT-NYA!" Kuroka screamed as Saitama just barely missed them, before hurtling directly into the life-giving star. And as Saitama passed through it, the sun itself began to bend and distort before sending bursts of cosmic flame in every direction throughout the entire solar system.
"Tch." Grayfia clicked her tongue as the surface of the earth began to rapidly heat up.
"Looks like we have no other choice." The silver haired maid said, before she and Kuroka proceeded to transfer the entire world directly into Asora like they had several other planets in the past. The difference this time though was that they deposited the earth close enough to Asora itself that they could see the seemingly never ending world in the sky above them, like the moon occasionally.
"Grayfia? What happened?" Anne immediately asked the maid as they appeared, obviously seeing the massive planet that now decorated the skies of Asora.
"Long story short, Alex is going out of control." Grayfia told her, before Vados proceeded to project an image of Alex and Saitama's fight in the sky above Asora, allowing them all to watch their emperor battle against the bald human.
"I-impossible...!" Vegeta Sr. uttered in disbelief as he beheld the display of a mere HUMAN battling on equal terms with Alex, who had transitioned into his Legendary Super Saiyan form by now.
The prowess of this human was enough to not only awe the Saiyans, but also to inspire them as they endeavored to become even stronger in the face of this new rival. Meanwhile the majority of the Asoran population was stunned to see that there was someone who could fight on equal footing with Alex.
"What is this?!" Demanded a voice as space and time warped beside Kuroka, prompting her to direct an annoyed look at the source.
"Ha? And who are you-nya?" She asked the man, who was accompanied by three others, a cyclops, a girl, and a lion man.
"My name is Blast, of the Hero Association. Now WHO are you, and what is your connection to 'God'?" The man, Blast, introduced himself, before question Kuroka while gathering masses of space and gravity on each of his hands in preparation for battle.
At the same time...
"Hmmm.... This place seems so.....interesting." Drawled a voice originating from deep within the center of the earth, from a humanoid figure that looked to be nothing more than a twisted amalgamation of flesh with no discernable features.
It could sense that the entire planet was no longer within the universe that it once called home, but that didn't worry it.
No, the figure was instead spreading it's senses throughout the new universe hey were in. And there were so many INTERESTING things here for it.
"What are you."
"!!!"
The figure 'looked' up as a new voice spoke, a voice that it did not recognize as a insignificantly tiny figure appeared before it.
"Oh? Has my first devotee within this universe already approached me?" The figure asked while looking down at the figure in humor, before extending a hand towards them.
"Devotee? Its the first time someone thought so little of me." The tiny figure answered as it looked up at it with curiosity.
"Oh? Well even if you are powerful, I can make you even stronger." The being said, it's voice dripping with temptation despite the malice radiating from it's entire being.
"I think not." The tiny figure said without any hesitation.
"I thought so. The weak often delude themselves into believing that they are actually strong. It takes coming face-to-face with TRUE power before they dutifully learn their place." The being said as it prepared to show the tiny figure just how 'weak' it actually was.
"Are you not the one who is 'weak'?" The tiny figure asked the being with a tone filled with innocence.
"Such naivety." The being said, before it noticed that the area around them began to twist and distort.
"What are you doing?" It asked the tiny figure.
"Sealing us in. I don't want to make a mess." The tiny figure answered, before their tiny body began to radiate immense energy.
"Do you not understand the futility of what you are trying to do?" The being asked the figure, even as their power continued to rise.
"Did you not say that the weak delude themselves? Or have you not learned your place yet?" The tiny figure asked as their power continued to climb, and climb and climb. To the point that it felt as if their strength was truly infinite.
"Who are you?!" The being demanded as, for the first time in it's existance, it began to feel oppressed by the power the tiny figure being it was exerting.
"I, am Ophis. Guardian of Asora."
(A.N. I was delayed this time because I was busy reading some other novels on Web novel for a while. Sorry.)
