"This was the correct one."
The elder's eyes widened.
'He possesses an item more valuable than his spatial ring? No that can't be,' Grandmaster Qi thought, but he knew Xiao Fang had no reason to lie.
His mind raced, exploding with several ideas per second before he finally concluded that it had to be something that couldn't be detected, concealed by a powerful formation inscription. He'd first need to guess what Xiao Fang might be trying to hide about himself, then guess what item he would use to hide it. It could be anything. There were simply too many things a man would want to hide, especially a mysterious figure like Xiao Fang. The Elder didn't know where to even start.
For the first time in years, Grandmaster Qi found himself unable to solve an appraisal riddle, and considering that a young disciple was able to solve it, he knew it wasn't impossible, he was just lacking the insight.
