John stayed there for a while before looking at his phone as he was receiving a call. What surprised him was the number on it since it belonged to Rebeca.
He answers the call as he asks, "Is something wrong, Rebeca?"
"No, nothing is wrong. I just heard from a friend that something big happened in NC and I was worried that you two weren't involved in it," says Rebeca over the phone sounding worried to John.
"No, everything is alright on our side. You know that Nesiara and I are far tougher than we look," says John as he tried to reassure Rebeca that everything was fine.
They talked for a while and John found out that Rebeca was in Michigan right now. She was still touring wanting to see the land before settling down.
"I hope you are enjoying your time before you decide where to spread your roots. I and Nesiara also spend a lot of time before doing so," says John before they said goodbye to each other when Viktor returned the Chop to John.
"It seems the girl you both saved is doing fine," says Viktor as John took the Chop and puts it away.
"She is touring getting an impression from the land she is living it. Nesiara did the same in the beginning looking around getting a deep feeling of the worlds we traveled to, while I just wanted to rush through it as fast as possible," says John as he sits down beside Viktor.
"I later found out that I destroyed the foreseen future of many heroes with that attitude of mine and I made many enemies as well," says John talking about Ichigo who was a second-rated Shinigami instead of being the Ichigo that is portrayed in Bleach.
"That's why I slowed down to Nesiara's pace and if I didn't then we would most likely not be married. And most important I would have never had met Yui, our first daughter," says John as Viktor was listening to John before he looked at his clock.
"Shit, I forgot that Rogue wanted to see me," says John as he stands up and leaves Viktor's Clinic while saying, "I will see you later, Vik."
"I will be waiting," says Viktor as he returned to his boxing match.
John leaves as he walks to the Afterlife which was just some streets away. He arrives and the bouncer just made way for him.
Nesiara was already sitting beside Rogue and the hole wasn't there any longer making John understand that Nesiara already dealt with it.
"You are late," says Rogue looking at John who sits down beside Nesiara.
"I had to deliver something important to a friend of mine. I can't have V fight without some upgrades after all," says John as Rogue already knew that the couple was doting on her as if she was their child.
"She came a while ago trying to find someone named Hellman. Is it a coincidence that one of Arasaka's former dogs did the same?" asks Rogue rhetorically already knowing the answer.
"You know very well why. Your former lover is inside her body after all. But I have a question if you allow me," says John as Rogue drank from her glass while moving her hand telling John to shoot her with his question.
"Who is the father of your child?" asks John curious about that as Rogue was caught off-guard by that question.
She was coughing her drink out as she says, "You almost killed me there."
"I see a sensitive topic," says John as Rogue recuperates from it before she looks at them seriously.
"I think we should let my son out of this. He is living a normal life far away from those streets. Also, I hope that your wonder girl doesn't do something stupid while she is with the girl I assigned her to help," says Rogue as she didn't want to drag her son into this world.
"A wise decision," says Nesiara as she looked at John seriously for trying to breach into Rogue's private life.
"What is was worth to find out since in the book it is hinted that it could be Johnny's or Santiago's spawn," says John as it was never lifted in the book he was reading.
"I won't disclose who the father is not to you or anyone else, do you understand," says Rogue seriously when Nesiara sighs.
"Just ignore him. He gets curious when it comes to secrets that aren't resolved in the books for example he once went through a month of torture just to find out if he could encounter an enemy that never appeared before a friend of us," says Nesiara talking about the Lingering Will which John found after spending a month in The World That Never Was.
"I can't help myself when it comes to secrets but that should be normal for someone that is born from scientists that always try to discover something new," says John as he wanted to uncover as many secrets as possible since they were piling up.
"He even solved the secret of the disappearance of a Nomad. He found her dead in the alley near a train station. He found the murderer and all the others involved in that crime before finding her ride. It right now belongs to Misty since she needed a ride to get to work," says Nesiara as they stayed for a while with Rogue when Nesiara receives a call.
She takes the call and hears gunshots when she asks, "V, is something wrong?"
"I need some backup. My partner seems to have underestimated the power of our enemy," says V over the phone before grunting in pain.
"Are you wounded?" asks Nesiara seriously as she stood up making John be serious as well.
"Some scratches but my little companion is a pain in the ass," says V as Nesiara looks at John who was looking like someone that will turn into a Berserk any moment.
"We will be right there," says Nesiara as she hangs up before looking at Rogue.
"What did you make her do?" asks Nesiara seriously as Rogue could feel the threat of Nesiara crawling up her skin.
"I didn't make her do anything and you know that. I just gave her a push in the right direction," says Rogue not sounding nervous.
"She is right, it is Panam wanting her right and merchandise back from the person that stole it from her," says John knowing the truth as he was colder than usual.
"Then we should move and get to her," says Nesiara as they walked out of the Afterlife only to enter the elevator and disappear the moment the doors closed.
John and Nesiara appeared out of thin air beside V when she looked at them surprised when John summons his armor and the Fusion Sword as well as the Dragon Slayer in his hands.
Nesiara summoned Omega as her armor appears around her when a bullet hits her armor before falling to the ground.
"Where is your partner?" asks John coldly as bullets rain at his body only to fall to the ground.
"She should be nearby," says V as John looked at the enemies.
"You take the right side and I take the left side. We need to let someone escape so we can find their hiding spot so we can uproot them," says John as Nesiara nods before jumping from the roof of the building.
"Why aren't they falling over!" shouts one of them in fear when Nesiara releases her green flames which engulfed her spear.
John on the other hand makes lightning cover his swords before he rushes at the enemy. He swings Dragon Slayer making the enemy as well as the cars in which they came to fall over.
He wanted to punish the people by making them feel pain as he walked slowly towards the enemies which were terrified from seeing John resting his swords on his shoulders as if it was nothing while his breath could be seen so cold was his aura.
They could only see those red eyes which were looking like they were out for blood when John says coldly "You have done a grave mistake today."
He vanishes from their sight before appearing behind them and he says, "You messed with someone dear to me."
His bloodlust was at its peak as the enemy realized that they pissed on the wrong leg today as John swings the Fusion Sword sending them flying backward for two meters when he pierces the ground with the Fusion Sword and the Dragon Slayer.
"Using my swords would be too lenient and quick," says John as he plopped his knuckles making them all hear it before he says, "My fist will make it as gruesome as possible."
John picked one of them up by his head when he rams him repeatedly into the ground breaking all of his bones before he throws him at the group.
The person was barely breathing and V was looking at how John was fighting before she looked at Nesiara's side.
Nesiara, on the other hand, activates the flamethrower in her spear making the enemy burn until only ashes remained and even then the green flames weren't going out.
It seemed like they were awaiting Nesiara's command to go out as people demonstrated it by rolling on the ground trying to put them out.
"Burning you will for your deeds, either here or in the other world," says Nesiara seriously as she pierces the ground making a pit appear which released demons made out of green flames.
They rushed at the enemy as they grabbed on and pulled them into the pit with them when V hears, "I really shouldn't anger."
"Johnny!" shouts V as she sees Johnny right beside her looking at the same thing that V was looking at.
"Remind me to also not anger the giant over there. He seems to be a pain in the ass if he is infuriated," says Johnny talking about John who ripped one of his enemies in two as his intestines were covering now his helmet and armor.
"I should have listened to Viktor and taken a rest to get my shit together," says V as she was having a headache again while watching Nesiara and John torturing her enemies.
