A middle-aged woman walked briskly past, then suddenly halted.
She stared at Tang Li standing at the bathroom entrance, sized her up, and her expression softened: "Why are you standing here after you've arrived?"
With no one else around, Tang Li was sure the woman was addressing her and politely responded: "I'm sorry, I'm just using the bathroom at your house."
Before she could explain further, the middle-aged woman grabbed her hand: "Let's go upstairs first."
Tang Li felt something was off.
