Just as Shane was lost in thought, unable to extricate himself, a childish yet pleasant voice woke him, causing him to turn and look behind him.
There, a girl holding a pillow slowly appeared, coming into Shane's view.
It was Ai Yi.
"So you were already awake?"
Shane looked at Ai Yi, surprised.
For Ai Yi had neither sleepy eyes nor was she yawning, proving that she had been awake for a while.
That was indeed the case.
"I didn't want to wake up, but you guys seemed to be discussing something interesting. Even if I'm sleepy, with a topic like that, I couldn't possibly continue sleeping."
Ai Yi said, making light of it.
"Isn't that eavesdropping?"
Shane immediately rolled his eyes.
"You were the ones chatting so happily in the living room. Who was eavesdropping?"
Ai Yi seemed to think Shane's suggestion was unpleasant, hence feeling slightly discontented.
