"We're here," after a few minutes, or not a few but not too long either of walking, they finally arrived at the place.
"A waterfalls?" Matthew gazes at the beautiful landscape of the waterfalls right in front of him. In addition to that are the trees that surround the area. It was like they were inside a rain forest.
"I was taking a little tour a while ago, and I found this. It's quite far to the resort, but it was worth the trip," Sophia enlightens him as she nodded to herself.
"Looks like this area is part of the resort," Matthew said as he read a small bulletin board stick to a tree.
"Eh?" Sophia was speechless when she only realized that this area was not free. It seems that this area is good for hiking, and at the end of the hike will be these falls.
"Aww, I thought it was for free. Oh well, since we are here let's take this opportunity," Sophia grabbed Matthew's arms, and pull him along with her.
"What are you doing?" Matthew asked. Sophia only gave him a soft chuckle as she pulls him toward the direction of the loud sounds of the waterfalls.
"This is the best place to vent your frustration, Sir Matthew," Sophia let go of him and patted his shoulder. "No one can hear you no matter how loud you scream. The sounds of the water will cover your voice."
"Are you sure about that? I don't want one of my companions to hear me screaming. I might lose my face," Matthew was unsure to do it. He was not the type to express his emotion in the first place.
"No need to worry. It will be quick. I promise you that. If you like, I will also join you venting frustration," Matthew glance at her, and she's giving him a thumbs up.
"All you have to do is to think all the hardships, and anger you felt this past few years, or these past few days. After that, you scream as loud as you can," Sophia explained, doing a scream post.
"Okay."
"I'll just sit here, and you can think as long as you like," Sophia sit on a rock, and look at him. Matthew gazes toward the forest. The sounds of the waterfalls are the only thing you can hear.
Matthew closes his eyes and reminisces. The hardships he faces when he was ten years old. The death of his father turned into a young businessman, face all the heat gaze of the enemies, and listen to their mockery. Not even once he felt happy. As time goes by, he is adapting to his surroundings. Put more walls to protect him from any obstacle. But, today was different. Someone told him to be himself. She made him realized that it is tiring to be strong.
"Aaaaaaaahhhhh!!!" Matthew screams like there is no tomorrow. Blend with the loud sounds of the waters.
'All these tiring years, I always felt I was drowning. No chance of getting out of that deep water. Even if I reach out my hand, no one can grab it. The only thing I can grab is nothingness. I thought that no one can get me out of this nothingness. But I was wrong. Out of nowhere, she came. Grab me outside of the water that I spend for years. She became my light. It was a feeling that I don't want to let go,' Matthew deeply thought.
"What are you feeling now?" Sophia stood up and approached him.
"It feels good," he replied.
"See? It feels good to vent your frustrations," she adds with a nodding gesture of her head. "If you only hide your anger, it will make you crazy, and depressed."
"Looks like I owe you a big debt," Matthew calmly spoke. Sophia shakes her head as a no and crossed her arms.
"You don't owe me one. We already made a deal that if I help you, you'll treat me to a dessert I like," Sophia said in a happy tone. Matthew remembers that deal. He quietly laughs to himself.
'It seems she likes desserts. I should remember it,' Matthew thought.
"Now then," Sophia stretches her arms sideward, and stand beside the waterfalls. "As I said earlier, I will also vent my frustration."
"Sure. I'll just stand here," Matthew nods, and crossed his arms.
"Then," Sophia raises her arms in the air, and scream. "Hyaaaaaa!!!"
Matthew was trying to hold his laughter. The scream he just heard was not out of frustration, but out of excitement like riding a rollercoaster happily.
"Ho!" Sophia sighed, and look behind her. Matthew was there looking at her. Even though it was kind of embarrassing, she still smiled at him.
Matthew took a step forward and reached out his hand.
"Shall we get going?"
