Chapter 3 - Sasaki Kojirō

He is an Assassin class Servant summoned by Caster in 5th HGW. He is a Servant who shouldn't exist according to the rules of the Holy Grail War, but Caster's unique skill allows him to do so. His role was replaced by True Servant, one of 19 Hassan-i-Sabbah on the Heaven's Feel route. He is one of the Servants of the F / GO Protagonist.

His name is Kojirou Sasaki (Sasaki Kojirō) whose real name is speculated to be Tsuda (津 田). His real name is unknown, and to be specific, he never had his real name. Kojirou is known as a samurai master whose existence is doubtful even though his name remains recorded in history. He didn't actually exist, so it was hard to call him a servant. The person summoned by his name was not a Heroic Spirit, but an existence closer to a wraith. If there was a database for all of humanity, then he would be the piece of data that most closely matched Sasaki's parameters, so him personality would become Kojirou's and him monumental feats would belong to Kojirou and not his own.

He (Tsuda) is the son of an ordinary peasant family, leading an ordinary agricultural life. He met a samurai master who had retired deep in the mountains, and started an ordinary life in the mountains themselves. He was fascinated by the master's swordsmanship, and he began training under it the next day. The master swordsman only taught him the subtle behavior of a swordsman, united with nature and the master did not instruct him in anything related to sword techniques. After one month, the master took his last breath, and Sasaki truly entered the world of samurai. He is an anonymous martial artist with some connection to the Ryuudou Shrine, but there is no way of knowing his true identity. He died without a name, never been lucky enough to be given, and the ability to read or write. He used the long Japanese katana and invented the ultimate technique, "Tsubame Gaeshi". The reason he was summoned as Sasaki was only because he was able to execute that legendary technique. He spent most of his life trying to figure out the best method for slashing swallows, and although he realized that this method was impossible for humans, he did nothing else and continued to practice.

His appearance was that of a samurai warrior with long indigo hair tied in a ponytail and indigo eyes. He wears a purple umanori hakama and purple kimono, light purple tabi and black geta with purple haori and tekkou while carrying his sword, Monohoshi Zao on his back.

He was calm & cool, and while his tone was somewhat mocking. He was honored in battle, always maintained a level of bushido, and he was not the type to attack defenseless women and children. He willingly kept Saber from revealing his name without any motive, and he stopped their fight suddenly to prevent the opponent from spying on Saber's Noble Phantasm. He didn't have the real goal of participating in the Holy Grail War. He wasn't a Heroic Spirit, so there was no advantage in winning for him. he reveals his "real name" without a care, and doesn't seem interested in the reward Caster promised to make him the true Sasaki. He only guarded the gate while waiting for the Servants to come to battle.

A refined man who admired the beauty of nature and wrapped himself in an elegant battle coat. Somewhat estranged from the world and has a somewhat elusive personality, but as expected, he is a warrior who loves justice. Living in an age where death tolls occur every day, his perspective on life and death may also be cold to modern people.

Keep in mind that even without the Battle Continuation, he could last longer with serious injuries due to his strong spirit. Like Lancer, he still had fighting strength left even though his heart was crushed, so he could close the gaps between opponents after taking a fatal wound. Caster casts a curse on his body while summoning, allowing him to blast Kojirou's chest. But even though his ribs were protruding out of his chest after being blown up, he was still able to act without fading and recovering again.

Regarding his sword skills, he uses monohoshi zao, a sword that is unnaturally long, almost no one is used besides him. But he could use it as if swinging an ordinary sword. In 5th HGW, he is a Servant with the highest swordmanship technique, even Gil doesn't dare to face him in terms of a sword, Cu also doesn't dare & prefers long-range attacks if he finds Kojirou (Crazy right)

His swordplay was fast enough that even Saber had a hard time keeping up. He swung his sword like a hurricane, using a flexible path to deflect blows from an opponent stronger and faster than himself, while aiming his slash at the neck to chop them off if he detected an opening. Every attack was fatal. He strikes with a curved, graceful bow that does not travel the shortest route to the opponent like a Saber (western style) sword. He shouldn't be able to match a sword moving in a straight line, but his sword techniques and Eye of the Mind allowed him to reverse an opponent's attacks and reduce the difference in strength to zero. It is impossible to get used to his fighting style, how many times he will fight against him, he will never get used to it.

It doesn't matter if the enemy steps back and then advances dozens of times, it's still impossible to get used to the fighting style. Saber misunderstood his skills. From such a close distance, the opponent should be able to easily beat his maneuvers to get within his range, but that kind of logic didn't apply to him. His secret technique, Tsubame Gaeshi, was a simultaneous triple sword slash in mutually exclusive directions that could only be performed on a flat surface. This wasn't a Noble Phantasm, but it was at par with god-like skills. It should be undodgeable as long as there aren't any mistakes in execution, making it a lethal technique. It made him who should be a "normal human", the same as the Heroic Spirit who was armed with the Noble Phantasm.

While he held out the thought that his sword might be able to block some of the attacks from Excalibur, it turned out to be bent slightly after a single clash. Even though the blade could cut through steel, something made by humans could never compare to something that was not made by humans. He used the method of forcing Saber onto flat ground to take advantage of Tsubame Gaeshi, but this proved to be his devastation as the slash from his slightly bent blade allowed Saber's slit to escape the technique.

QQQABEx

A: 2 hits

B: 1 hit

Ex: 4 hits

The art card is only 1, for NP gain it is rather difficult. NP charge at him 1.05%. The best chain for an NP chain is AQQEx, assuming neither crit nor overkill, so:

Art + Quick + Quick + Extra

= 8.4% + 5.25% + 6.3% + 8.4%

= 28.35% (not too fast, but don't forget if he is a critter, it can be up to 40% ++ if all crit)

For stargen, let's try to collect data first, the stargen is 25.3%, skill 3 increases stargen by 90% at level 10, passive skill gives stargen up 4%. From that data, of course the best chain (NP excluded) is QQQEx, so:

Quick + Quick + Quick + 10 + Extra star bonus

= 438.6% + 538.6% + 638.6% + 1000% + 957.2%

= (4 stars and 38.6% chance for 5 stars) + (5 stars and 38.6% for 6 stars) + (6 stars and 38.6% for 7 stars) + (10 stars) + (9 stars and 57.2% for 10 star)

= 34 ~ 38 star

if you want NPQQEx you can too. There is a quick up of 20% before NP and assuming the NP is only OC 100%, so:

NP + Quick + Quick + 10 star + Extra

= 645.9% (+ 15 star) + 590.6% + 710.6% + 957.2% + 1000%

= (21 stars and 45.9% for 22 stars) + (5 stars and 90.6% for 6 stars) + (7 stars and 10.6% for 8 stars) + (9 stars and 57.2% for 10 star) + (10 star)

= 52 ~ 56 star

This is a technique from the legendary story of Sasaki Kojirou who is said to be able to cut down a swallow in flight. He achieved a Mystery that was achieved only with human techniques that rivaled the Noble Phantasm of servants. This was not something that was recognized as a Noble Phantasm under the Fuyuki servant system, but rather the intrinsic skill of an anonymous swordsman who represented and used the legendary great individual Kojirou as the source of his identity. While still unranked, it is classified as Noble Phantasm under the FATE system. This sword technique, the best used by Kojirou, was not NP or magical phenomena, but had reached a god-like level that surpassed other servants. This is a technique where three swordsswooped in simultaneously to approach the enemy from all sides to create a "prison", which allowed no chance of survival for the enemy. It's actually against the laws of physics to reproduce its existence. Starting with the first slash, followed by two completely simultaneous slashes and an over-lapping that ignores the concept of space and time, resulting in slashes that arrive from three different directions instantaneously using Zeltrech's 2nd Magic Multi-Dimensional Refraction Phenomenon to adjust the speed, dexterity, trickery, and many other elements. This was a secret technique that was extremely important to him.

He has a very long attack range with Monohoshi-Zao, 150 cm, which is usually ineffective at close range where he uses this technique. The first strike comes at the opponent with incredible speed, creating a horizontal arc to surround him, but the second slightly slower vertical attack is intended to block escape from above and the third vertical attack to prevent the opponent from escaping. This was a technique capable of rivaling a god with ordinary human skills, so it was impossible to avoid. If one of the slashes is brushed away, the other two will still cut the enemy. Due to the close range, if the opponent tried to retreat, the longsword would immediately cut through. Assassins usually fought at higher ground to gain an advantage over their opponents, but Tsubame Gaeshi needed a flat foundation in order to be executed perfectly. If he didn't have the right footing, he would only be able to draw two lines. Since this technique was born of extraordinary skill and not magic ability, it did not require additional magic energy other than what the Assassin needed to move.

Like Gáe Bolg, it is impossible to avoid, even through a different mechanic. It was possible to put up a fight against Gáe Bolg after finding out that it was targeting the heart, but the only measure of resistance against Tsubame Gaeshi was not to let him use Tsubame Gaeshi. It is possible to avoid the rudimentary version (only 2 slashes) by escaping sideways, but the actual technique (the perfect version) is almost impossible to avoid. Saber, fighting with pure technique due to not being able to use Excalibur at that distance, managed to defeat him after the Assassin bent his sword to direct his foothold onto a flat surface. Through pure instinct, prediction and determination, she could see a gap in this technique, a gap between her left arm and waist. She could barely avoid the slash as he rushed through the gap, and the only reason for her success was because of Kojirou's bent sword. If the sword was in perfect condition, the technique would remain invincible. Fate / Unlimited Codes features a technique called Hiken: Tsubame Mai (秘 剣 · 燕 舞, lit. Secret Sword: Swallow Dance?) Which is a series of six dazzling attacks around enemies, followed by Tsubame Gaeshi.

The process behind developing the technique is simply an Assassin trying to find a way to slash a flying swallow. He found that the swallow felt the vibrations of the wind from the sword strike to avoid the slash. It was impossible to do a slash without making a sound / shaking the air, no matter how fast the attack was, and the sword could only move in a straight line. The swallow can move horizontally or vertically to avoid it, so a single strike is impossible to cut. The escape route had to be completely blocked, meaning that after the first strike, another attack was needed to trap him. The second attack could not be done at the right time to cut the swallow because it is beyond the ability of humans to attack multiple times in one time. He accepted the fact that it was impossible, but since there was nothing else to do, being a simple and honest person, he spent his entire life practicing it to reach the pinnacle of swordsmanship to the end. After a long period of time, he perfected his technique and reached different levels. Despite some limitations, he finally achieved and perfected his goal, the Mystic Sword technique as a "dungeon" slash approaching 2nd Magic without any knowledge of Magecraft or True Magic without doing anything but spending his life swinging his sword, following a single idea of how to kill. the flying bird.

To calculate NP damage, let's try to collect data first. His stat at level 60 is 6735 (already 1000 fou), NP5 multiplier 2400%, quick up 20% before NP, Assassin's base multiplier 0.9x. From that data, he generated NP damage of 32,121.1. With the OC effect, he can crit in the next turn. Even if I use skill 3, it's also right for NP to ignore evade

ACTIVE SKILL

1.Eye of the Mind (False)

Rank: A.

Effect: Grants self evasion for 1 turn + increases own critical damage (40% at level 10) for 3 turns.

Cooldown: 8/7/6

(心眼 (偽), Shingan (Gi), localized as "False Insight") is a natural gift for predicting / sensing and avoiding danger based on sixth sense, intuition, or prediction. The accuracy of this instinct can be augmented by experience. This ability also provides a resistance effect against punishment caused by visual obstructions. The difference between True and False lies in the fact that the former are abilities which humans can acquire through accumulated experience. The False version is briefly similar, but it is actually a natural instinct that cannot be obtained regardless of effort or experience (although experience can improve its accuracy). In Kojirou's case, he is able to see through the weapons and styles of his opponent after fighting only a few times, his eye perception is the best among the Servants (only Okita & Shiki's same level). In terms of gameplay, it is useful for crit damage, but because there is evasion, some people feel confused about its use. The bottom line is situational.

2. Fade Out

Rank: B +

Effect: Removes own mental debuffs + gain critical stars (15 at level 10)

Cooldown: 6/5/4

a.k.a Vitrification (透 化, Tōka?) is a calm state of mind. Mental protection that eliminates mental disorders. In Kojirou's case, he limits himself to being a martial artist, he can hide his presence. (Since he's not a true assassin, Kojirou can't actually use Presence Concealment. However, with this ability, he's able to simulate the effect to some extent). In terms of gameplay, this is quite useful because it gives a star, but it can only remove mental debuffs, other debuffs can't.

3. Sense of Subtle Elegance

Rank: B ++

Effect: Own attacks will ignore evasion for 3 turns + increases own critical star generation rate (90% at level 10) for 3 turns + increases own Star Absorption (900% at level 10) rate for 3 turns.

Cooldown: 7/6/5

a.k.a Knowledge of Respect and Harmony (宗 和 の 心得, Sōwa no Kokoroe) is a special ability that prevents a reduction in accuracy regardless of how many times the same technique has been used on the same enemy. In other words, the ability to make his attacks unreadable to the enemy. It became impossible to see through his attacks. Added to that by Kojirou's unique 'head-shot' technique, the effect is greatly enhanced.

"The eyes grow used to the attacks"

In terms of gameplay, this is very useful because ignore evade, meaning NP and crit must be hit by the enemy unless the enemy has an inverse, plus this also increases stargen and star absorbs, and in skill 1 earlier it was crit dmg up, his skillset was purely used to crit damage. What's even better is that the CD is only 5 turns !!!!

PASSIVE SKILL

Presence Concealment

Rank: D

Effect: Increases the unit's critical star generation rate by 4%

a.k.a (気 配 遮断, Kehai Shadan, localized as Obfuscation) is the ability to hide his presence as a Servant. This was a common Assassin Skill.

Dabābu Hamāṭu Bāṣu

Any CE for quick up, star absorb, & crit damage

Etc (if anyone wants to add?)

Advantage:

Lowstar, small cost free with CE

He is a starmaker but because of the Assassin class, star absorbs are pretty good, so the star is sucked up by himself again

Pure Skillset for crit needs

CE Bond is useful for the Quick team

Disadvantages:

Lowstar auto low stat

That's skill 2 like not just any debuff cleaner, some kind of charm maybe (?)

Conclusion

As a starmaker, he's already really great, especially through NPQQEx. Honestly he's not as good as it sounds in the meme world. The only thing that makes him excel is because of the stargen, crit, and ignore def in skill 3

Don't forget to comment, review + criticize if something goes wrong. 😁
