Rex was amused.
Surprisingly enough, devouring other beings allowed him to absorb the Echo inside them.
But unlike the normal way of fusing the Echo into the Soul Artifact, it fused into his body instead.
It was absorbed and gave him a passive skill, which he thought was impossible.
Or at least, one side of him thought it was impossible.
As for the other one, the one who was in control right now, he was looking at the Singing Lady with a newfound light. Smacking his lips that were still red from the blood, Rex grabbed the remaining chorus-bearer by the head and dashed.
Seeing Rex heading towards her, the Singing Lady was stunned.
But once she recovered, that surprise turned into delight.
Rex has run long enough.
It was time for him to pay for what he had done to her beloved children.
