Chapter 4 - The Blade of Chrisos

The Blade of Chrisos, flagship of the Sun Eaters, now Golden Suns, and the Vengeful Spirit, were in the skies above Katharos. Ships were going back and forth between the planet and its capital ship, moving cargo back and forth.

Thynami had ordered for his quarters to be as similar as possible as those down on Katharos and the Imperial artisans had done a fantastic job. He was now chest deep in the water pool watching his homeworld through the viewing ports. The woman attending him, Iris, had been his wife for the last 3 years, a political marriage sure, but he wouldn't complain, she was pleasant enough to look at. "Your Majesty-" she cut herself off, "My lord, would you like some more grapes?" Thynami nodded, it would take some time for men and women of Chrisos to get used to calling him my lord.

"Brother!" it was Horus, his heavily armoured boots banging against the ground. Thynami sighed, "Horus, please, no armour in my chambers. You'll break the ceramic!" "Well I don't have anything-" "Alexa! Get my brother a change of clothes."

Horus let out a bark of laughter, "You really are prepared for anything."

It took Horus a few dozen minutes to get out of his power armor in which time Iris had brought in a small buffet for them. "Happy?" Horus asked, stepping out of the bedroom. Thynami grinned, "Now you finally look the part."

He beckoned, "Come, get in, it really helps loosen your muscles." Horus sighed and slowly descended the steps into the deep water. "It's a lot hotter than I expected." He said moving to the edge. "If you think this is hot, I do not think you would be able to survive Katharos." Smiling, his brother plucked a grape, "Don't let Russ hear you say that he might melt if he went." Both of them burst out laughing, forcing the two mortal women to cover their ears.

"So what did father talk to you about?" Horus asked, a deep frown on his face. "Well he congratulated me on my conquests and on how much it would add to the imperium." Thynami grinned, "He even said I could keep it under my rule as a vassle." Horus' eyebrows shot up, "All 5 systems?" Thynami nodded and took a sip of the whine. "I was just as supprised."

He cocked an eyebrow as Iris shuffled over to him, "My Lord, Basilius is here." "Let him in, let him in!" he said smiling ear to ear.

He didn't look like the old Basilius, he was taller stronger and less human. "My Lords." he said bowing. "Horus, I would like to introduce you to Basilius, my teacher, and good friend." The primarch inclined his head, "You are brave to have gone through the mutation at your age. You have my respect."
