Estelle stared at her, their eyes locked in a standoff that seemed to freeze the air. The other people in the office sensed a fight brewing and dared not say a word.
Finally, Estelle couldn't hold back any longer. Turning away angrily, she said, "Suit yourself!"
As she walked to her desk, she continued, "As your agent, I've said all I could. If you won't listen and insist on going your own way, there's nothing I can do. It's your career. If you don't cherish it, no one can make you. Think it over carefully!"
Seeing Estelle's anger, Rong Yan felt as if a heavy stone was pressing on her chest; it was suffocating. But with so many people present, she could not explain, nor was it the place to do so. She could only follow her and thick-facedly try to appease her, "Estelle, are you angry?"
