The first memory Nicolaas ever had was waking up in a vat filled with unknown liquids, outside there was nothing but darkness. The second he gained consciousness, a stream of knowledge entered his mind. There was basic knowledge of language, science, history, arithmetic, and especially anatomy, but the knowledge about combat that was flooding his brain was entirely different.
He was given knowledge of various combat styles, as well as inner energy and mana. Even though he hasn't even taken his first steps yet, he already knew how to kill people in several dozen ways.
There in that darkness he was slowly able to see what lay beyond, he started thinking. With all the knowledge he gained and being unable to move, that was all he could do at the moment.
