6 months have passed since the birth of Sirus.
We find Sirus tucked away in bed, snoozing like the baby he is.
'Hraarrrhhhhh, damn that was the best sleep I have had in years.' He thought as he opens his mouth wide open for another yawn.
'I'm already getting used to living here. Though It's certainly weird living the life of a baby and remembering every moment of it. Besides that I haven't done much besides eating, sleeping and having fun with my parents. Other times I admire how demons actually act and go on with their lives.
Unlike humans, they usually all have a few things in common, like their beautiful red gem like eyes, or their razor pointed teeth, or fangs might be more appropriate to describe it. Also a unique feature, horns, all of them have horns, some shape different to others, such fantastic creatures they are.
Ah, and also their sharp claws, but that's not the most shocking discovery I have seen but…
Why do Demons blink sideways?
But you know, they all look peaceful human beings, apart from their appearance, but I wouldn't say it's frightening or scary, if anything they rather beautiful.
Might as well live this peaceful life it's only been a few months and it seems demons grow faster than humans do. I can already hear and see better.'
…
"Ethan, I keep telling you I'm scared and worried sick. I keep having these nightmares of our village being burnt down by Holy Knights and slaughtering our people and torturing us, a-and!"
"I know Sasha, you told me like a thousand times, but like you said, it's just a nightmare, that's all." Ethan pauses for a moment before he continues.
"I'm sure it won't come true, we haven't told anyone about our child so there's no way for the Holy Knights to tell that we have a Noble son in our poor village. And our neighbours don't know any better as they haven't seen Sirus yet. J-just calm down dear, have some water." Ethan goes to the kitchen to grab a glass of water.
Sasha receives the glass of water and pauses for a couple of moments before talking again.
"I'm, sorry dear." she says with tears flowing down her gentle light-red eyes.
"It hurts to see my son being taken away from us and the whole village is on fire. Evan if it's a mere nightmare, this… This is too specific of a dream.
It looks too real for a dream, but I will calm down, I will try." she frowns and looks down holding her hands against her chest.
"Sasha, please don't be upset you know what it does to me when I see your gentle tears flowing down your cheeks."
"I-I'm sorry."
"Besides I'm sure the Holy Knight won't come to our village, at least I hope. so anyway, have you noticed our son is growing horns already and his fangs are sharper than ours?" He says as he remembers accidentally poking his finger into Sirus fangs, nearly cutting his finger clean off.
"Hihihi. Yeah, look at his cute fangs and horns it's so adorable, my baby boy is going to be a fine demon one day." she smiles at the thought of Sirus drooling as he sleeps.
"dear, It's time I leave for work, I'm going to plough the fields, I will be back in time for dinner!" He shouts as he rushes to the door but not before getting his tool.
"Okay, dear be safe, stay safe!" Sasha heads to the kitchen to prepare tonight's dinner.
'Guess dad going to work and mom going to cook dinner. It's quite amazing how good my hearing is.' He thought to himself as he continues to learn more about his new profound body.
…
A few weeks pass by and we see a small child attempting to do something that he clearly isnt old enough to do just yet.
'Huff, Huff, I almost got it. Yes, finally I'm getting used to walking with these strange legs I have!' Sirus says as he puts up his fists in triumph, before, sadly falling right down on his bum.
[Thump]
'Ow, I'm sure mom is going to be proud of me, but I can't reach the door handle to show mom that I can walk. I wonder if there is a mirror in here? I want to check my teeth and these horns of mine.' Sirus looks around the room until noticing a small mirror high on the shelf that is in his small room.
'There's one on the shelf. But, it's too high. Maybe I can throw something and catch it.'
Sirus attempts to do something he clearly shouldn't do but who's going to stop him. He notices a toy ball in the corner of the room.
'This should do, it's not a plastic ball, actually, I'm not sure what it's made out of but at least there's weight in this ball.
'Not sure how well I can throw it with my baby hands but I'll get it a shot.' Sirus carefully examines his target with his previous military experience, he takes a few steps to get a clear view of his target.
He tenses his pure baby muscles, bending his knees and, target locked on!
[Swoosh]
[Crunch]
[Ting]
[Crunch]
Sirus stumbles back as he threw the ball and falls down once again whilst watching the small glass mirror falling down to its doom.
'Shit! I broke it, hopefully mom didn't hear it!' Sirus looks down with a frown before looking back up and seeing a relatively big piece of glass. 'Yeah as if mom didn't hear that when I can clearly hear what mom and dad spoke before from the next door over. But for now, my reward.' Sirus smiles into a huge yet stupid grin.
'Now, let me see these horns and fangs! Wow, damn, look at me and my horns and fangs! Huh, from the looks of it, it's growing towards the back of my skull, but it's still small so I'm not sure how it will look when it's fully grown. Hmm, I look quite dashing I must say, hihi.'
As Sirus continues to look at himself and continues with his silly grin, his ears flicks up in response as he hears heavy footsteps rushing towards his room.
[Bang]
"Sirus! W-what happen here?!" Sasha exclaims in panick, she notices the shelf hanging on the wall, tilting to the side a bit. And the surprised face of Sirus as he continues to hold the piece of broken glass in his hand, completely ignoring that her child is literally standing.
"That Ethan and his know it all! Clearly the shelf wasn't secured properly on the wall. I'll give him an ear full later on!" She demands with a pout, as she gently removes the glass from Sirus's hand to ensure no cut. After Sasha finished cleaning the mess, she picks up Sirus and takes him to the kitchen where she can keep an eye on him.
Meanwhile somewhere on a field nearby, a certain man named Ethan gets a frightening chill running up his spine.
…
'Sorry dad.'
