Ivy definitely smelled something extraordinarily fragrant. Previously, she would have been interested, but now, Ivy didn't feel the slightest bit intrigued.
Was Mom suggesting they wait right here? But how long would that take? She hadn't even finished her snow ice, but she had already compromised for the sake of Mom wanting to find Mrs. Juliet. So why did Mom still expect her to keep waiting here?
Aria sensed Ivy's reluctance and knew they couldn't keep this up. So she crouched down and took Ivy's hand.
"I'm sorry, Darling, I'm truly worried about Juliet; just like if something happened to Sophia, wouldn't you be worried too? But right now, I'm not comfortable with us separating, so could you wait for me just a little longer?"
Hearing Mom say that made Ivy feel as though she really had no choice. Given the situation, she might as well wait there.
"Okay, so I'll just wait, right? Are you going to wait with me, or continue staying here?"
