Chapter 600 - G-night

Friday evening.

Joy was busy colouring in her colouring books in the living room when she heard the front door open and close with a loud thud. At first she thought that her daddy had finally come back from work.

She rushed out of the living room expecting to see her daddy, only she was surprised to see her three uncles standing in the entrance.

"You don't always have to get the last word Charlie." Michael groaned and shook his head.

"Yes, yes I do, that's the only way any of you listen to me." Charlie replied.

"Is that why you closed the door as if you want to break it?" Nine scoffed.

"Hey, you just be quiet..."

"Uncles!" Joy said in surprise, her cute little voice stopped their argument and they all turned to look at her.

"Hello Joy." Michael and Charlie smiled.

"Hello." She smiled, she proceeded to give them all a hug, she started with Charlie and ended with Nine, when but with Nine, she hugged him for longer than she did the others. Nine smiled and carried her in his arms.

"Uncles, what are you doing here?" she asked surprised.

"We're here for g-night." Charlie smiled proudly.

"G-night?" Joy asked confused.

"Yeah... g-night?" Michael and Nine asked looking as equally as confused as Joy was.

"Yes g-night, as in game night, are you all dumb?" Charlie scoffed.

"Hey, maybe not as dumb as you." Nine replied.

"Hey, no fighting guys." Michael said. "Anyway, yes we're here for game night, your Aunt Lulu and daddy invited us over." He said.

"Oh, so you are here to play games?" Joy asked and he nodded.

"Yes, just like the good old days." Charlie smiled.

"Hey, you guys are way too early to be here for game night." Lulu said walking down the stairs, she frowned.

"No, no, not at all, we're even late." Charlie replied.

"No, you guys are probably here to eat free food." She frowned.

"And why wouldn't we? The word around town is that Natasha is the one making dinner now and we can't pass that golden opportunity up." Charlie smiled, his mouth was already salivating.

"You guys are nothing but freeloaders, I'm going to report you to Natasha, you better hope that she made enough." Lulu frowned storming to the kitchen.

"Oh, she can be as angry as she wants, one thing is certain, we are eating dinner here tonight." Charlie smiled and Michael could not help but agree.

"Let's go make ourselves at home." Charlie smiled throwing his blazer over his shoulder.

They all walked into the living room and sat down on the couch. Charlie glanced at Nine and Joy and frowned, they were busy giggling and whispering to each other.

"Looks like someone has a favourite, how come you don't giggle like that when I carry you?" Charlie sulked like a child.

"Charlie, why do you always have to be the jealous type?" Michael sighed.

"No, that's not true Uncle Charlie, I love you as well, I was just telling Uncle Nine how much I miss him taking me to school and picking me up from school because it's summer." Joy explained.

"Oh really now?" Charlie asked, Nine scoffed, how jealous did he have to be? Why was he fighting for the affection of his niece?

"Yes, I love you too, so very much Uncle Charlie." Joy smiled and climbed on his lap and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"Aww, well when you're so sweet how can I stay upset at you?" Charlie gushed. Michael and Nine simply rolled their eyes at him. He was always like this, always attention seeking. They were starting to get worried that maybe it was something deeper that caused him to be so overly jealous.

Joy simply giggled. Charlie always made her laugh, always, she loved all her uncles in different ways.

"Joy, you're getting really good at colouring." Michael said admiring her bold choice of colours in her colouring book. It was a weird bunch of colours, yet, they seemed to work better than they were supposed to. The colouring really popped out of the page, in a good way.

"Thank you Uncle Michael." Joy smiled.

"Hey guys." Natasha smiled walking into the room with Lulu following behind her. She was expecting Natasha to scold them for coming over, but boy was she wrong. She was starting to suspect that she was wrong when Natasha greeted them so sweetly.

"Hey Natasha." They all replied.

"How are you doing?" Nine asked.

"Good, good, Lulu came to report you guys to me." Natasha said.

"Yes, well it's the truth, they just come over to eat." Lulu pointed the accusing finger at them.

"It's no worry, I had a feeling they would be coming over for dinner, so I made sure to make more than enough for everyone." Natasha smiled.

"You're the best Natasha." Michael smiled.

"Mhmm, right, now I'm the best." She laughed, not from a place of spite but from one of joking.

"Lulu, you should take notes and learn from the master." Charlie said as Lulu scoffed at him and put her tongue out at him.

"Don't be hard on Lulu, I know that it's not a game night without a filling dinner." Natasha smiled.

"Yep, definitely right, it's not a g-night till that lovely dinner." Charlie said.

"G-night?" Natasha and Lulu asked confused.

"Yes, g-night as in game night, it's going to catch on soon, just you wait and see." Charlie said.

"Umm, no, I don't think that it will." Natasha laughed.

"It's not, definitely not." Lulu laughed. "Anyway, let's go eat dinner already." She said.

"Not so fast, we have to wait for your brother to get home first, he said that he will be home early tonight." Natasha said.

"That is true, we all left the office at the same time, he should be here by now, I don't know what's taking him so long." Michael frowned.

"Well, there was a warehouse he needed to check on, he must have stopped there and got stuck in evening traffic, but he should be here soon." Nine said.

"Just great, we have to wait for him." Lulu groaned, she was hungry and she didn't want to have to wait for Dom.

"He better be here soon, my tummy is already complaining." She said as Natasha and the others laughed.

"I'm not joking, I'm serious!" Lulu said as she stormed out the living room.

"I'm sure he won't be long." Natasha said. "Joy, darling, would you please pick up your crayons so no one will step on them." she said.

"Okay mommy." Joy nodded and rushed to do as she was told.

"Thank you my darling." Natasha smiled before leaving to the kitchen.

Joy picked up all her crayons and put them back in the box, then she asked Michael for her colouring book and went to keep them all safely in her room.

"How long is Dom going to take? I'm hungry?!" Charlie groaned. He was so hungry.

"You're always hungry." Nine and Michael replied.

Dom pulled into the driveway and sighed. He was exhausted, so exhausted, all he wanted to do was go inside, eat, take a shower and go to bed.

He walked in through the front door at the same time Joy was walking downstairs, she saw him and rushed to him.

"Daddy!" she jumped on him.

"Hello princess." Dom carried her and smiled.

"You're finally home, my uncles have been waiting for you." Joy said.

"Uncles? Why?" Dom asked as he walked into the living room.

"For g-night of course." Charlie smiled.

"G-night? What in the world is g-night?" Dom asked confused, he was already exhausted, he did not have the mental capacity to deal with Charlie's nonsense.

"Game night, gosh, is everyone stupid?" Charlie asked frustrated.

"Umm, no, it's only you Charlie." Nine replied as he laughed.

"Oh, game night, that's tonight?" Dom asked confused.

"Mhmm, you forgot?" Michael asked.

"Unfortunately yes." Dom replied.

"Let me just go get changed and we can have dinner, or have you had dinner already?" he asked.

"Nope, Natasha said we were going to wait for you." Charlie said.

"How nice of her." Dom replied.

"I will be back soon." Dom said as he put Joy down and gave her a quick kiss on the cheek.

"How stressed can a man be that he forgets g-night?" Charlie asked.

"It's not going to catch on!" Dom shouted from the staircase as the others laughed.

"Oh it is." Charlie shouted back.

Joy giggled, out of all her uncles, Charlie was the funniest.

"Dinner's ready." Natasha called from the dining room.

"That's my cue, Natasha better have made more than enough, enough. I am ready to eat myself to exhaustion tonight." Charlie said standing up.

"You better not, we still have game night to do." Nine reminded him as they all left the living room.

"True, true, I will half it then." Charlie replied.
