"Elinka, are you asking for a beating?" Monica finally lost her temper, "I am a princess, and you are just a marquis's daughter, by what right do you speak to me this way?"
Elinka leaned in, provocatively saying, "Then hit me!"
Monica couldn't hold back anymore. She raised her hand to slap Elinka across the face, but Elinka dodged faster than Monica's hand could reach. Elinka quickly moved aside, and Monica ended up slapping someone else on the shoulder.
The person struck was a very gentle rich madam, who after being hit, furrowed her brows and said, "What are you doing? We are all guests invited by the princess; why are you fighting here? When the princess arrives and sees us fighting, do you think she will invite us again?"
Monica rubbed her sore hand and then said, "It wasn't me who wanted to fight, but someone was deliberately provoking me."
The rich madam persuaded, "Your Highness, your status is very noble, how can you just hit people like that?"
