Day Ninety-Five…
Jane finally found Mrs. Frost. The middle-aged woman was also bleeding a lot. Her face was almost unrecognizable due to the burnt marks.
"Mother," she called out.
Mrs. Frost peeled her eyes open upon hearing Jane's voice. But she couldn't see her face. Her vision became blurry at the impact of the explosion.
"Don't die on me, please," She begged her. "Please! Somebody, help! We need immediate medical attention here!" Jane called the attention of the responders, hoping they could still save Mrs. Frost.
Mrs. Frost tried to hold Jane's hand. In her weak voice, she mumbled, "How is everyone?'
Jane fell silent for a moment before she spoke up. "Don't worry, Mother. My sisters are just fine. So you have to be strong and survive." She lied!
But Mrs. Frost already knew that her daughters were not safe. Jane was just trying to console her. She could see through her lies.
