Half an hour later, Ms. Mo drove her camouflage jeep to the Pei Corporation building.
As expected, her car was stopped by the security guard at the door.
Guests' cars needed to be registered. Ms. Mo lowered the window and rested her elbow on the window. She was still wearing the sun hat she brought from the safari park. "What do you need?"
The security guard recorded her license plate number on the computer. A few seconds later, he asked, "do you have an appointment?"
" Yes." Ms. Mo's voice was bright and cheerful. "I just spoke to the person on the phone."
