The god bird…
It represents good luck.
It's said that in old times, people would even move villages if the gop bird wouldn't chirp once a week. If it doesn't chirp, that means something bad will happen. People believed it had a great institution. But later, people believed this bird was a gift from god to these lowly people to escape from the miseries.
This belief grew very strong after two weeks of the bird not chirping and a very big flood breaking out, making people lose lives.
With that, people literally worshipped those birds. They were very rare too.
These beliefs eventually turned more and more different with time.
While the bird being silent means something bad is going to happen, it chirping means something special happening at that time is going to be a great thing.
So, in the present, all marriages in the village areas are hosted once the bird chirps.
