Mrs. Yu burst into the police station, her voice urgent. "I demand to see my daughter! Where is she?"
The officer's expression turned stone-cold at her demanding tone. "I'm afraid that's not possible, Mrs. Yu. We're in the middle of a crucial interrogation."
Mrs. Yu's eyes darted to her brother, Wang Kai, her face etched with worry.
Wang Kai's gaze locked onto the officer, his voice dripping with confidence.
"Officer, my name is Wang Kai. I believe this envelope contains a...generous contribution to the police fund. I'm sure it will help facilitate my niece's case and, perhaps, even expedite her release."
The police officer knew what was inside the envelope. He greedily looked at it and gave a satisfied smile.
Just as the officer's hand reached for the envelope, a sharp voice cut through the air. "Bribing an officer in broad daylight? You're quite bold."
The sudden voice made the officer's smile disappear. He turned his head, glaring at the person who had interrupted him.
