In the Watchman's eager gaze, the elephant's trunk was getting closer and closer to him.
After more than ten seconds, the trunk came to a complete halt in front of the Watchman. After scanning him, it seemed finally convinced of something. The tip of the trunk suddenly opened, ready to swallow him whole.
But just then, the Watchman, who had been maintaining a tense and anxious expression, suddenly shifted his smile from anticipation to a cold smirk.
A powerful and unrivaled aura emanated from the Watchman, and in that moment, the entire surrounding space seemed to freeze in time. The mist no longer flowed, droplets of dew hung suspended mid-air, and insects and beasts passing by were frozen in their tracks.
The cautious trunk also petrified at the same time.
"Heh heh, who would've thought, you dumb pig really intended to take this big boss as your underling, huh?"
Amidst the Watchman's cold laughter, the trunk nearby began to tremble even more violently.
