Y/N's POV
I felt a little shy because of his words, but I managed to stay calm and not turn red in front of him.
"Hmm… thanks," I muttered, keeping my expression neutral.
He simply nodded and started eating.
Mr. Annoying: "So, how was work?" he asked, flashing me a charming smile.
"O-Oh, it's great," I replied, forcing a small smile.
Mr. Annoying: "That's great… if you ever need help, just call me, okay?" he said confidently, smirking as if he was some kind of hero.
I rolled my eyes. "Okay," I muttered dryly.
He smiled, clearly amused, and we continued eating. After a while, when we finished our meal, he suddenly stood up.
Mr. Annoying: "Y/N, let's go. I have something for you," he said excitedly.
"What?" I asked, narrowing my eyes in suspicion.
He didn't answer. Instead, he walked over, grabbed my hand, and gently pulled me up.
"You'll see," he smirked.
I frowned but decided to follow him. We walked toward the back of the cottage, through a wooden door I hadn't noticed before. 'Where is he taking me?' I wondered.
The moment he pushed open the door, my breath hitched.
"Oh my God…"
In front of me was a beautiful lake, surrounded by lush green trees and blooming flowers. The air smelled fresh, carrying the scent of nature. Birds chirped in the distance, and the gentle sound of water flowing instantly calmed me.
I walked toward the lake, closing my eyes and inhaling deeply. The peaceful atmosphere felt like a dream—like a place I had always wished to escape to. A soft smile appeared on my lips as I embraced the tranquility.
Mr. Annoying: "Beautiful…"
His deep voice pulled me out of my thoughts. I turned to look at him. 'Oh, right. I forgot about him.'
"I… yes, it's beautiful," I admitted, feeling a little shy.
Mr. Annoying: "I know," he smirked, stepping closer.
I took a small step back, suddenly feeling nervous. "I—" Before I could say anything, he wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me against his chest.
"What are you doing?!" I gasped, my hands instinctively pushing against his chest.
Mr. Annoying: "I w—"
Before he could finish, my phone buzzed.
I sighed in relief. 'Thank God my phone rang at the right time!'
I quickly reached for my phone, and my eyes widened when I saw the caller ID. Kayden.
Mr. Annoying: "Why is Kayden calling you?" he asked, his tone turning sharp. Before I could react, he snatched my phone from my hand and answered the call.
"HEY! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" I yelled, trying to grab it back.
Mr. Annoying: "Hey, Kayden. What do you want?" he said, smirking. "Ah, but Y/N is busy right now."
My eyes widened in shock. "Give it to me, you Mr. Idiot!" I shouted, furious.
He gave me a deadpan look. "Tsk."
Mr. Annoying: "Don't worry, I'll take care of her… yeah, bye," he said before ending the call.
I clenched my fists. "WHAT DID YOU JUST TELL HIM?!"
Mr. Annoying: "Oh, he just wanted to know where you were and said he wanted to talk to you," he shrugged.
"Oh no… what is he going to think now?" I groaned, feeling embarrassed.
Mr. Annoying: "Don't worry, I'll handle him," he smirked.
I glared at him. "Don't you dare, Mr. Annoying. And yeah, this date is over!" I snapped.
Mr. Annoying: "Why do you keep calling me that?" he frowned.
I crossed my arms. "Because I don't even know your name, and you're—"
Before I could finish, he glanced down at my phone. My eyes widened in horror. 'Oh no… why didn't I lock it?!'
I tried to snatch it back, but he was too tall. He unlocked my phone and burst into laughter.
Mr. Annoying: "WOW! You actually saved my number as 'Mr. Annoying'?! Are you serious?!"
I froze. 'Oh, crap.'
Mr. Annoying: "Wait… do you seriously not know my name?" he asked, looking genuinely surprised.
I looked down, avoiding his gaze. "I-I… why are you even asking?!"
Before I could react, he grabbed my wrist and pulled me hard against his chest.
Mr. Annoying: "Now you'll never forget it," he whispered. "My name is Coel."
And before I could process what was happening, he kissed me.
My mind went blank. 'WHAT THE—?!'
The moment I regained my senses, I shoved him away and slapped him. But before my hand could hit him again, he caught my wrist.
"YOU!!! WHY DID YOU KISS ME?!" I yelled, feeling my face burn with anger and shock.
Mr. Annoying—no, Coel—smirked. "Now you'll always remember my name."
My breathing was heavy. 'What the hell is wrong with him?!' I turned on my heels and ran into the house.
But he was right behind me.
"Y/N, STOP!" he called, grabbing my wrist just as I reached the door.
I stopped, but tears welled up in my eyes. My emotions were all over the place. The moment he saw my tears, his expression shifted. He let go of my hand immediately.
"W-Why are you crying?" he asked, his voice softening.
I stepped back, shaking my head. "No, don't come any closer."
He looked hurt for a second but quickly masked it. "Y/N, it was just a kiss… why are you reacting like this?" he asked, confused.
I wiped my tears and looked at him angrily. "'Just a kiss'? It's my first kiss??? Listen, Mr. You are-An-Actor-And-This-Is-Normal-For-you- but-I am NOT like you!"
He sighed and rubbed his face. "Y/N… please don't cry," he said, almost pleading.
I took a deep breath. "I want to go home."
His eyes widened. "What? You're leaving?!"
"Yes."
He let out a frustrated sigh but nodded. "Fine… but before you go, I have something for you."
I frowned. "I don't want anything—"
"Oh no, Y/N, you HAVE to see this," he smirked, pulling out his phone and making a call.
A few minutes later, someone knocked on the door. A man walked in and handed an envelope to Coel.
"Good. You can go now," Coel smirked, holding the envelope tightly.
I crossed my arms. "What is that?"
He let out a small chuckle. "Let's see."
He opened the envelope and handed me its contents. My eyes widened in horror.
They were PHOTOS of us kissing.
My heart stopped.
"W-What… what is this?!" I stuttered, feeling my body freeze.
Coel smirked. "Can't you see, babe? These are our beautiful moments."
I clenched my fists in anger. "WHY DID YOU TAKE THESE?!"
He just laughed. "Oh my baby… this is just the beginning."
I narrowed my eyes at him. "What do you WANT, Coel? I know you did this for a reason!"
He smirked again. "I'm surprised, Y/N… you really do know me well."
