The sun had barely risen over Queens, and Peter found himself restless. Ever since the cafeteria incident where he fought Flash and displayed abilities he couldn't quite explain, he'd felt like something fundamental about him had changed. As he sat on the edge of his bed, staring at his hands, he tried to recall every unusual moment that had happened in the last 24 hours.
I stopped Flash's punch like it was nothing. I moved faster than I've ever moved before… Peter's brows furrowed. Standing abruptly, he muttered, "Okay, let's test this."
He grabbed a tennis ball from his desk and threw it against the wall as hard as he could. His eyes widened as the ball rebounded so quickly that it nearly hit him. He caught it just in time, his reflexes sharper than ever.
"Alright," Peter whispered, heart pounding. "Next test." He walked over to his closet, opened it, and reached for an old chair he knew was slightly broken. Grabbing it tightly, he lifted it with one hand—and to his shock, the chair felt lighter than a pillow.
No way… Am I… super strong now? He dropped the chair gently and stared at his reflection in the mirror. The pieces began to fall into place: the spider bite, the strange feelings in his body, the newfound strength. His heart raced as the realization hit him. "I… I have powers."
Aadi and Maya's Night Patrol
As darkness fell over the city, Aadi and Maya prepared for their first night of fighting crime together. Aadi stood by his window, dressed in his Superman suit, his face concealed by his mask. Maya, who had recently inherited Wonder Woman's abilities, adjusted the golden bracelets on her wrists, feeling a sense of purpose coursing through her.
"You ready for this?" Aadi asked, glancing at her with a small smile.
"More than ready," Maya replied, confidence gleaming in her eyes. "Let's see what trouble we can stop tonight."
Aadi nodded and activated his earpiece. "Brainiac, report."
Brainiac's voice chimed in instantly. "There's an armed robbery underway at a jewelry store downtown. Police response is delayed by heavy traffic. Estimated time to arrival: 15 minutes."
"Got it. Let's move," Aadi said, turning to Maya. "You want to fly or take the scenic route?"
Maya smirked. "I'll take the sky, darling. Let's see if I can keep up with you."
In a flash, they soared out of Aadi's window, streaking across the night sky like twin comets—one in a black Superman suit, the other adorned with Wonder Woman's golden cuffs. The city lights shimmered below as they approached the scene of the robbery.
The Fight
The jewelry store was in chaos. A group of masked robbers wielding advanced weapons had smashed their way inside, shattering glass displays and filling their bags with priceless gems. The sound of sirens was still faint in the distance.
As Aadi and Maya landed outside the store, the robbers froze, momentarily blinded by the sight of two figures bathed in the glow of a nearby streetlamp.
"What the hell?" one of them muttered. "Is that… Superman? And… Wonder Woman?"
"Impossible!" another shouted. "They're fictional!"
Aadi stepped forward, his voice calm yet commanding. "You have one chance to drop those bags and walk out peacefully."
The robbers hesitated before their leader barked, "Open fire!"
Energy blasts erupted from their weapons, but Aadi moved faster than they could react, his heat vision disarming the first three robbers instantly. Maya leapt into action, deflecting the incoming blasts with her bracelets before taking down another robber with a perfectly executed roundhouse kick.
Aadi restrained the remaining robbers with super speed, tying them up with a steel chain from the store's interior. As the police sirens grew louder, he turned to Maya. "We're done here. Let's go."
Maya nodded, and together they disappeared into the sky, leaving the scene just as the police arrived.
Later that night, as they stood atop one of New York's skyscrapers, Maya turned to Aadi, her expression curious. "You're good at this, you know."
"Good at what?" Aadi asked, pretending not to understand.
"Fighting crime. Leading. Being… well, Superman," Maya said, a playful smile tugging at her lips.
Aadi hesitated for a moment before deciding to tell her the truth. "There's something you should know."
"Oh? Do tell," Maya said, raising an eyebrow.
Aadi took a deep breath. "I… own Krypton. The company, I mean. The one that's been developing all that advanced tech and medicine. It's mine."
Maya stared at him for a moment, processing his words. Then she laughed, shaking her head. "Of course it is. It all makes sense now."
"You're not mad?" Aadi asked cautiously.
"Mad? No," Maya said, stepping closer. "I'm proud. But you should've told me sooner, darling. Secrets don't look good on you."
Aadi chuckled. "I'll keep that in mind."
News of the robbery—and the intervention by the so-called Superman and Wonder Woman—spread like wildfire. Social media was flooded with videos and photos of the duo in action, sparking debates and wild theories.
At SHIELD Headquarters
Nick Fury watched the footage on a monitor, his expression unreadable. "First Superman, now Wonder Woman. Fictional characters coming to life. What's next? Batman?"
Maria Hill stood beside him. "We need intel. If they're real, we need to know where they came from and what they're planning."
"Agreed," Fury said. "Put them on the watchlist. We'll dig deeper."
At Oscorp
Norman Osborn stared at the footage, his mind racing. "Superman and Wonder Woman… If they're real, their DNA could change everything."
"We've already begun tracking their movements," one of his scientists reported.
Osborn's lips curled into a sinister smile. "Good. Keep me updated."
