"What happened? Where were you? How did this happen?" Damian fired Maddie with questions. She tried to speak but the tears rolled down her cheeks uncontrollably.
"Where's Amber? I know she's behind this." Damian said angrily, hie eyes looking around.
"Amber got shot too, she....she...she tried to save Maya." Maddie hiccupped.
"What?!" Damian said, his eyes searching Maddie's.
"We were shopping when the man shot at Maya. I was at the far end and Amber tried to save Maya. The bullet hit her arm before touching Maya."
"So where is Amber?" Damian asked, impatiently.
"In ward six."
Damian run to the ward immediately. Amber's arm was being wrapped in a bandage when he walked in. The nurse left immediately leaving the two alone.
" I know you ....."
"Thanks for what you did for Maya. You've really changed like you said," Damian said and Amber felt her heart skip a beat. Damain just talked to her nicely. His gaze had softened a bit too,
