"Is there chili in this sauce?" Charles looked up and asked the giant in front of him.
"What's chili? I made this sauce with Redheart leaves." The owner pulled out a tree leaf the size of a lotus leaf from under the stall, dark around the edges with a bit of black and just a few jagged edges.
Charles tore off a piece of heart and shoved it into his mouth, instantly feeling a pungent spiciness that was quite different from chili. It was bitter with a kick, and there seemed to be something in the sauce that neutralized the bitterness.
After half-filling themselves with this Plastic food, Charles and Lily simply left the table.
It wasn't that Charles didn't want to eat, but Lily's keen nose had caught a whiff of other tantalizing scents coming from around the corner.
Following the streets near the docks, Charles led Lily towards the center of the island, eating and enjoying the sights along the way.
