"Benefactor Li, you are not a disciple of the Buddhist Sect, so now I will explain the process to you. Later on, you will join me and the other disciples in holding the Ghanta Dharma assembly in the Thousand Buddha Hall, while Monk Xinhui will be leading the other Arhat disciples to hold the Unrestricted Assembly in the other four halls."
The Abbot Chan Du, dressed in his kasaya, walked ahead with Li Huowang, holding a Purple Gold Bowl that seemed no ordinary object, unlike the day before.
"An Unrestricted Assembly?" Li Huowang suddenly thought of something and showed a hint of disdain on his face. "Figures it's like not going into a family unless one belongs to it—they even have to hold an Unrestricted Assembly to catch Buddha's attention."
"Benefactor Li, the meaning of an Unrestricted Assembly is that nothing is concealed or hindered; whether noble or humble, monk or layperson, wise or foolish, good or evil, all are treated equally without distinction," the Abbot explained.
