Zarina took her sword and blocked the attack. Then they started fighting. The person in black cloth struck each strikes with rage. Their eyes then moved towards the king. Zarina noticed the movement and started to strike back at them challengingly so that she could distract them from attacking her father.
The king then noticed that the person in black cloth was way more powerful and has more knowledge about the fights than the princess. Worry arisen in his mind that his daughter may get hurt.
The person in black cloth struck her sword hard making it fall aside and kicked her torso. Zarina fell onto her bed. The person then turned towards the king and swung the sword.
"Father!" Zarina closed her eyes lying there helplessly. When she opened them she saw the person standing there pointing the sword inches away from the king's neck.
"Now tell who's worthy of the crown, Father," The person removed the cloth from her head revealing the dark curls and the rose lips. She withdrew the sword and turned towards Zarina.
"Saira? When did you… come back?" Zarina stood up from her bed and ran towards the king. "Father, are you ok?" He nodded.
"You really think I would hurt him? You think I am that bad sister?" Saira put the sword aside.
"Your past action says a lot about you." A smirk appeared on Saira's face. Zarina rolled her eyes and continued, "And what was this all about?"
"I thought a future queen could handle those." Saira walked towards them. "And you are standing here because I went easy on you."
After Saira left the room Zarina turned towards the king. "I'm sorry father. I was caught off guard. This will not happen again."
"It's alright my dear. I understand." The king turned towards the door in a confused expression. "You said you were caught off guard, that made me think. Where are the royal guards? How did they let someone into the princess's room?"
"Oh no!" saying Zarina ran out of the room and the king followed her. When they came out of the chamber they saw the guards unconscious on the floor.
"Oh dear, are they alive?" The king faltered towards one of the guard.
"Looks alive to me." Zarina said watching a guard slightly move his head. "Could've seen that coming." She sighed.
A few hours later Zayn came for the lesson. They did a face off, remembering the events that happened in the morning, she tried to use some of Sarina's tricks. Zayn looked quite impressed by the new moves. They trained for more than an hour.
"That was a nice move. Impressed you did that on your own." Zayn said as he put his sword aside.
"Me too. This is the first time you ever said more than one sentence." She smiled at him. He then turned towards the corridor. "You leaving already?" She inquired.
"My duty for today is done princess. So yes, I am leaving." He said with a smile. Their eyes met again. Something in the air shifted as they stood there. He broke the eye contact looked down and smiled. Then he turned around and left.
He was walking back to his house. It was evening and the market was very crowded. He was squeezing past the crowd when someone snatched his ring and started running away. All he could see was some red cloth. He ran after them. They ran toward the sides of a building and disappeared. He searched around the building until he found her, standing near a heap of barrens.
"It's not good to steal." Saying he walked up to her but before he could reach, he tripped on a brick lying there and he fell on top of her. After they hit the ground he raised himself up with the help of his hands and that's when he saw her face. Honey brown eyes burned into his dark brown ones with rage, furrowed eyebrows. Tensed rose lips.
"Get of you pervert." She pushed him off and got back on her feet.
"You stole from me and now calling me a pervert." Zayn stood up next to her as she wiped dust off her dress.
"Excuse me? I am not a thief. I don't have to steal from…" she looked at him head to toe, "From a beggar like you. I have enough to live on."
"Then give me back my ring." He stretched his hand. She slapped it aside. She then noticed a small boy sneaking away at the corner. His head was covered with a red dupatta. She ran towards him, and brought him to Zayn.
"Here, your thief." She said looking at him. Then she turned to the little boy. "Sneaky much, you almost got me in trouble." She took the ring from his hand. "Don't repeat it. If the king finds out he won't be happy." The boy looked terrified. He nodded nervously and ran away.
"Sorry for the misunderstanding." Zayn said with an awkward smile as she handed him the ring. She rolled her eyes.
"You called me a thief," she hissed.
"You called me a pervert. I think we are even then." He put his ring on his finger.
"Whatever. Don't ever come near me. I am out" she raised both her hands and walked past him. H grabbed onto one of her hand and pulled her back. His one hand on her arm which was gently pulled t her back and he used the other to push a strand of hair from her face.
"I didn't quite catch your name." He said his eyes locked into hers.
"I didn't throw it. Now let me go." She tried to shrug him off but he tightened his grip.
"Funny, not so much." A small smile cracked on his face. Her gaze softened, brows relaxed and lips parted with a small sigh of defeat. "With that attitude of yours I didn't expect you to accept defeat this quick."
"Who said I did?" She lifted her head, closed her eyes and head-butted him hard he fell backwards taking her with him.
"Finding reasons to lay on top of me. How sweet. And God you are strong," He groaned.
"Let me go you pervert." She hissed. He put a finger on top of her lips shushing her.
"Call me Zayn, darling." He said with a smirk. Her eyes widened and she gasped.
"You are the one training the princess." She said in shock. "I'm sure you also likes her, go back your princess and leave me alone." She pushed him away and stood back on her feet.
"I am not into the princess. Let me be clear, a princess is not my type." He said as he ran his fingers through his hair.
"Then who is your type?" She asked with a flirty smile. He walked up to her and pulled her by the waist,
"You" He whispered. She opened her mouth to say something then closed it after taking a look at her dress.
"Feisty. Not falling for that." She gave a wicked smile and kneed him on his gut.
"Seriously?" He said trying to catch his breathe.
"Farewell," Saying she turned her heels and ran away from there. He sat down on the ground with a smile.
