This was the remnant soul of Purple Crow, fleeing as far away from the battlefield as possible. Utilizing the secret soul technique known as soul sever, which the Evil Sorceress Wicked Butterfly had taught her, Purple Crow had managed to slice apart a section of her soul, retaining about 70% of her memories and self within this fragile, wisp-like state.
However, the cost of this technique was steep. For every hour that passed without finding a human body to possess, she lost 10% of her soul energy. The clock was ticking—she had less than six to seven hours to secure a living human body or face the grim fate of perishing. Furthermore, the more spiritual energy she exerted to maintain her current state, the faster her soul would diminish. Time was not on her side.
