"Hi, Ven! How has it been staying at the castle? I've always wondered what it would be like. Are you having fun?" Dr. Trevon bombards me with questions the moment I enter the room.
I can't help but laugh. Dr. Trevon has always been rather energetic, but he's actually excited to see me. Well, I do know his true motives for working at Lao Labs. Life's always easier when you have someone to share your secrets with.
"Dr. Trevon, this isn't a gossip session. Be professional." Dr. Monroe snaps.
Dr. Trevon's attitude shifts, and his smile fades instantly.
"I'm doing great, Dr. Trevon. Thank you for asking. The castle is huge, but the best part is the library." I answer.
Dr. Monroe glares at me. He doesn't respond to my provocation and continues his work.
"Sit. We will be running some tests today. I need you to take these pills first. It'll help with the tests." Dr. Monroe explains as he thrusts a paper cup with three different pills into my chest.
