The second they stepped out of the palace, Qi Yun turned to his team, eyes sharp, voice calm yet commanding. "Run."
The three elves and one elemental stared at him.
"Like, right now?" Zephyr blinked.
"No, maybe next week when they throw us a goodbye party—YES, RIGHT NOW!" Qi Yun hissed. "Run. Split up. Meet back in the same village in three days."
No further instructions were needed. The moment they heard the sound of guards shouting inside the palace, the entire team scattered like roaches under bright light.
Ignis, always the practical one, grabbed Seraphina by the waist and took off in a burst of flames. "Hope you don't mind speed travel!"
Seraphina, who had very much minded speed travel, had no time to argue before they vanished into the night sky.
Zephyr, the fastest of them all, simply saluted Qi Yun and Elysia before launching himself into the air. "Catch me if you can, losers!"
