Suddenly Xephinon reached the Nexus, their body rocking gently as the acceleration pulled at them from every direction.
"What the—"
"It's coming," Stella announced. "We're getting close."
Estella looked up at the display, her stomach sinking. She'd expected more warning than this. Sure, they would be encountering gravity anomalies along the way, but this was something else entirely.
"Stella, what does it look like?" she asked.
The Nexus looks like a tiny star with a ring but the ring moves around the Nexus.
"A graviton anomaly?" Estella asked. "Like... a black hole?"
"No, nothing like that," Fialla replied. "Just a regular old gravity well, like we've encountered before."
"Evangeline, you can reach them."
"Yes?" Aevangelion said. "we must fly near the Nexus."
"How close?" Estella asks
"close enough to see it."
"Then do it now," Estella said. "Celesta, open the anti-gravity mode."
"Already on it," Celesta said.
