Ye Wanting's heart tightened. "Did Song Yutang swindle you?"
Yaen Chi was taken aback for a moment but then a smile spread across his face. "No one has dared to cheat me yet."
"Then you went to give a statement, right? Let me come over too. I'll be right there."
As she spoke, she attempted to stand up.
"No need, I'm already out. Wait for me at Jiaojiao's place."
Ye Wanting sat back down, suddenly unsure of what to say, and hesitantly responded, "Okay, then I, I'll wait for you to come."
"Alright."
Yaen Chi hung up the phone first.
It took Ye Wanting several seconds to bring the phone down from her ear.
Looking up, Nan Jiaojiao was watching her with keen interest. "Yaen Chi never sticks his neck out for anyone; when did you two get so close?"
"Uh, we've met a few times. He helped out in the hospital, oh, and Dr. Xiao was called in by him too."
Nan Jiaojiao's eyebrows rose slightly.
