Hancheng finished speaking, the corners of his lips raised slightly, revealing a bitter smile.
"You finally believe that my feelings for you are real, not just a joke. Yet, I wish you would never understand, never ever understand. Perhaps, everything could remain as it was in the beginning, with no changes at all."
Xia Pengpeng's intended words were all stifled by Hancheng's retort.
She knew that they still owed each other a proper conversation. But now, she didn't know what to say anymore.
Hancheng walked up to Xia Pengpeng, placing his hands on her shoulders, "Pengpeng, I love you."
This sudden confession left Xia Pengpeng even more at a loss.
"You don't have to mind me, I just wanted to say what I've been wanting to tell you."
Hancheng laughed at himself mockingly, turned, and walked to the side, where the ground had already turned white.
"Do you remember the scene when I first declared my love to you?"
"I remember." Xia Pengpeng nodded her head.
