"Huh?!"
"Irene is going to be an examiner?!"
As Irene's words echoed through the Fairy Tail guild, everyone gasped in shock, staring at her in disbelief.
"So Selene is the candidate for this year's S-Class Wizard Exam, and Irene is the examiner?"
"Having them participate in the exam, whether as examiners or candidates, will be catastrophic for everyone involved!"
"No, no, the real disaster will be the battle location itself if they clash. The kingdom of Fiore might be destroyed if Irene and Selene fight..."
The Fairy Tail wizards were horrified, imagining the potential devastation if Irene and Selene clashed during the exam.
"In accordance with tradition, I hereby announce this year's Fairy Tail S-Class Wizard Exam examiners..."
"The examiners are Irene Belserion, Evan Belserion, Gildarts Clive, Erza Belserion, Cornuke, Ur Milkovich, and Mirajane Strauss. These seven will serve as the examiners for this year's exam."
Makarov reluctantly included Irene among the examiners, knowing he couldn't risk angering her after granting Selene special privileges. Originally, neither Irene nor Selene was part of his plan.
"This is a disaster!"
"Master, can't you be more assertive?"
"If the kingdom of Fiore is destroyed, you'll be remembered as the villain."
Macao and Wakaba complained to Makarov, who had no choice but to include Irene among the examiners.
"Shut up! Do you think I don't want to stand up to them? The problem is, even if I did, it wouldn't matter. I don't dare provoke either of them!"
Makarov's anger flared, but his voice softened as he admitted his powerlessness. Even as a current member of the Ten Wizard Saints, he didn't dare confront Irene or Selene.
"That's Irene and Selene we're talking about! Who in the guild daReisu to provoke them? Not even I do!"
Makarov, nearly in tears, lamented his helplessness to Macao and Wakaba.
"Precht, Reisu, why did you leave me alone in the guild?!"
"Don't abandon me!!"
"I can't hold on much longer!"
Makarov cried out internally, his sorrow understood by no one.
A few weeks earlier, Reisu had left the guild after meeting with Precht. Reisu, feeling his time in the world had been too long, decided to work at the Magic Council, hoping to pass it on to one of his old friends. This left Makarov handling all guild affairs alone, increasing his stReisus exponentially.
"Everyone mentioned, whether candidates or examiners, gather at the dock. We'll take a boat to our sacred ground, Tenrou Island."
Wiping away his tears, Makarov addReisused the guild members. If he had known Irene and Selene would be involved, he would have held the exam in Magnolia to minimize the risk.
"Oh my~"
"Taking a boat to Tenrou Island? That's unnecessary~"
"We can just walk through the portal."
Irene smiled and waved her hand, opening a portal to Tenrou Island on the wall.
"Even if you say we can walk, the island is hundreds of miles..."
"Huh?"
Makarov stared wide-eyed at Irene's portal. Despite the irrationality of such high-level magic, it seemed perfectly logical when Irene used it.
"Everyone, follow me~"
Irene's seductive smile led the guild members through the portal to Tenrou Island.
"Let's go!"
After a brief moment of shock, Makarov calmed down and led the S-Class examiners through the portal to Tenrou Island.
"This really is Tenrou Island?"
"What kind of immense magic power can support such a large-scale teleportation?"
Standing on the beach, Makarov recognized the familiar landmarks and knew they had truly arrived on Tenrou Island.
"Long-distance teleportation magic! Master, don't be so surprised. Irene showed you this during the last S-Class exam..."
Evan patted Makarov's shoulder, explaining Irene's magic.
"Hmph, you think this is the same? Don't mock my knowledge. I'm aware of long-distance teleportation magic, but this isn't the same."
Makarov rolled his eyes, aware that even high-level teleportation required immense magic power. He knew maintaining a portal this size required an unimaginable amount of magic.
"Sigh..."
Shaking his head, Makarov realized Irene's powers were far beyond his understanding.
"This is Tenrou Island?"
Elsewhere, Silver, Seilah, Ultear, Kagura, and Mystogan explored the island, marveling at its sacred aura.
"This is the sacred ground of Fairy Tail, Tenrou Island?"
"So, the connection we feel is because of that tree?"
Using a magic tool from Wisdom, Mystogan discovered a faint link between Fairy Tail members and the Tenrou Tree.
"No, the Tenrou Tree aids the connection, but the real bond is our shared belief."
After contemplating, Mystogan concluded that the tree and their belief were mutually reinforcing.
"Amazing! I need to ask Wisdom if he can create similar magic tools."
Mystogan recorded the secret of the Tenrou Tree, planning to consult Wisdom about creating a similar tool for Edolas.
"Oh, right. Wisdom now claims to be the greatest genius in Edolas, Earthland, and Alentia..."
"This feeling is amazing~"
Besides Mystogan, Silver, Ultear, Seilah, and Kagura also marveled at the island.
"This is Tenrou Island? I'm fired up!"
"I'll become an S-Class Wizard this year!"
"Gray, even if we're brothers, I won't hold back..."
"An S-Class Wizard exam? So troublesome..."
"Sister, sister, watch us! We'll do our best~"
"Mirajane, I'll show you I'm a man..."
"Laxus, I'm coming! I'll get closer to you~"
Alongside the chosen candidates, Natsu, Gray, Lyon, Cana, Lisanna, Elfman, and Freed were eager to start the exam.
"Good luck! Defeat us, pass the exam, and become S-Class Wizards..."
Compared to the excited first-timers, veteran S-Class Wizards like Gildarts, Evan, Laxus, Erza, and Ul were much calmer.
"This is Tenrou Island?"
First-time visitor Mirajane, an examiner, surveyed the island just like the candidates.
"Let me explain the rules!"
Makarov stood on a stone platform to appear taller and began explaining the exam rules.
"No need for rules~"
"Simply put, if only I remain, I'll be the one to pass this year's exam."
Selene yawned lazily, questioning Makarov.
"Uh, well..."
Makarov, sweating profusely, was at a loss for words. Though Selene's logic was sound, he wanted to see other candidates pass besides her.
But this might prevent a fight between Selene and Irene, so it was worth it.
"That's true..."
Smiling, Makarov conceded to Selene's point.
"Oh my~"
"Are you so brainless you can't even hear the rules? A beast will always be a beast."
Before Makarov could speak, Irene intervened, mocking Selene.
"What did you say?! Say it again if you dare!"
Selene's anger flared, glaring at Irene.
"Is your brain so small you can't understand me?"
Irene's expression remained cold, staring at Selene.
"Boom!!"
"Irene!!"
Selene's fury erupted, her magic power flaring like moonlight mixed with gold, soaring into the sky.
"Want to fight? I'm ready."
Irene prepared for this reaction, and released her own overwhelming magic power, clashing with Selene's.
As the two immense powers collided, Tenrou Island began to shake violently.
Makarov: "It's over!"
