Opening my eyes, I'm alarmed at the unfamiliar white ceiling that I had woken up to before I remembered everything that had happened yesterday. After accepting Cooler's offer, Salza walked in and congratulated me on my "promotion" before giving me a tour of the ship.
It wasn't really needed, as the layout was the exact same as the raid ship, but there were a few minor differences. He then showed me to my room, which was definitely an upgrade. I had my own private quarters, with a shower and everything!
After that piece of heavenly information was dropped on me, Salza left me to my own devices, saying that the rest of the day was something that I could spend at my own discretion, and that tomorrow would be my first day.
Well, it was tomorrow.
Rising from my bed, I sit at the edge and look around at my room, taking in the the place again before rubbing my eyes.
It was definitely going to take some time to get used to waking up in here...
I stood up and stretched out my limbs before heading to the shower. I wash myself off, taking a little bit longer due to the feeling of the improved water pressure, and stepped out to dry myself off. I put on my armor and wipe the fogged-up mirror with my hand.
"Something's missing..." I muttered as I looked at myself, feeling as though I had missed some piece of clothing, "Oh..."
I place my palm against my chest and use Kekkai to materialize a fur coat that wrapped itself around my waist.
"If I'm going to be wearing the armor, I might as well have the whole look." I muttered to myself as I walk out and head towards the canteen.
I look pretty much like how Broly did in the Super movie, but the light tan lining on the inside of the fur was now black.
I would've materialized a more fitting set of armor, but the rest Armored Squadron all have color coded sets of purple and green, which are the same colors that I have on right now.
It was weird to me at first, because I could've sworn that the armor they had were purple and yellow, not purple and green, but it really didn't matter that much to me. I also didn't want suspicion placed on me as to how I managed to ascertain said armor.
I'm sure that I could've pulled some sort of explanation out of my ass, but I don't really feel like it. It's more believable that I somehow how a random fur coat lying around somewhere than a whole suit of armor that just so happened to be my size.
As I made my way to the canteen for breakfast, I see Salza, Dore, and Neiz walking from the other end of the hall. Salza gives me a nod and Neiz gives me a wave, while Dore just turns his gaze up at me before walking inside the canteen.
I raise an eyebrow at the large green man before looking over to Salza and Neiz, "What was that all about?"
"He still hasn't gotten over what happened yesterday at the Medical Center." Salza told me.
"Yesterday?" I asked, wondering what he was talking about.
"Your tail." Neiz said as he pointed towards the said extremity.
Ah, right...
To be honest, I've kind of forgot that I had almost broken his wrist when I woke up here...
Am I going to apologize for it?
No.
No I am not.
"What is with the fur?" Salza asked, looking at the fur wrapped around my waist with a little confusion.
"Found it." I told him simply.
"You found it...? On the ship?!" He asked, his head jerking back with complete and utter befuddlement.
"Mhm." I hummed, nodding my head.
Before he could ask anymore questions, we all walk into the canteen and get in line to grab our food. Usually there would be a bunch of options for me to choose from, and there was, but I don't recognize any of the food available.
"A Saiyan? Haven't had one of you in a while." The woman behind the counter said as she looked at me up and down, "Don't bother looking at anything on the right side of the menu. It's all toxic to your kind."
My eyebrows furrow at her warning before I nodded at her and said, "Just give me whatever the most popular thing is here that I can actually eat."
She nods and plops a purplish-blue looking piece of meat on my plate. I lean in closer to inspect it, and as I did, it physically jerked.
"Uh... It just twitched..." I told her, pointing at the meat with an apprehensive gaze.
"It does that." She replied, waving me off before moving on and serving Salza.
I raise an eyebrow at the woman before deciding to just move along and get out of line. It then turns into another problem as I have no idea where to sit.
While there weren't enough people to fill in all the spots, there were plenty of people grouped together who were talking amongst themselves, some of which had glanced at me for a second before quickly turning away once I caught them.
This is just like the first day of highschool all over again. At least back then I had Hayden...
I wonder how he's doing...
"Look alive, fur boy." Salza says as he bumps his elbow into my shoulder, knocking me out of my thoughts, "You're sitting with us."
Not having to be told twice, I follow Salza and Neiz to a table towards the back of the canteen. As we walk up, I see that Dore was already there, giving me the stink eye the entire time. Ignore him, I sit down at the table, to which he just responded by ignoring me back.
"Dore, are you seriously going to act like a spoiled child in front of our new comrade?" Salza asks, looking at him with obvious judgement, "Your wrist wasn't even broken."
The big green man just looked at Salza with a glare before turning his focus back towards his food, ignoring him too.
Salza let out a tired sigh before turning towards me, "I'm sorry, this is not how I wanted our first meal together to go."
"It's fine. I had pouty teammates as well." I told him.
"I ain't pouty!" Dore suddenly exclaimed.
"Well, you're definitely not mature." Neiz states before slurping up some dark purple and black sludge from his tray.
"What... is that?" I asked, trying to keep my face from turning into one of disgust.
"Oh, it's ground up Melila Worms and Carcusa Flies from Nylezula Seven." He replied before picking up his tray and holding it out to me, "You want some?"
I caught whiff of that deadly monstrosity and I almost throw up right then and there. I hold up my hand, refusing his offer.
"No, thank you." I replied, trying to hold back a gag, "Maybe some other time..."
"Suit yourself." He shrugged nonchalantly and continued to eat his sludge.
I... I think I'm going to be sick...
I look down at my food for a moment and grimaced. Between the twitching meat and the black sludge, I suddenly feel as though I was no longer hungry. I look around the table, seeing that Dore has already finished his meal and I push my tray towards him, making him look up at me with confusion.
"Eat up, big guy..." I told him.
He looks at me suspiciously before begrudgingly digging into the purple meat. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Salza looking at me with a grateful look and he nods softly in appreciation.
Don't look at me like that... I didn't do it the patch things up, I did it because I would have thrown up otherwise...
It's a very good thing that I have that pouch of infinite Senzu Beans...
"So, I was thinking that after we eat, we would go to the training area. Get our newest recruit up to speed." Salza says, getting a nod of approval from Neiz.
He looks over to Dore, who doesn't respond for a moment before he nodding his head as well.
"I trust that this isn't a problem?" Salza asks as he turns towards me.
"Not at all." I replied.

Now in the training room, I was standing beside Neiz and Dore, watching as Salza paced back and forth, staring at all of us. He suddenly stopped in front of me and I stared up at him with a raised brow.
"Now, I seem to recall that you mentioned having a previous team?" Salza asked as he paced the training room.
"I did. I was the leader of Team Black back on Planet Vegeta." I replied, nodding my head.
"Then you should know the basics of teamwork, yes?" He asked.
I nodded again, "I do."
"Good. I'm sure that this will be a very difficult change for you, going from leader to follower so suddenly, but I hope that you do not take it personally." He said.
"Don't worry, I have no problem with it whatsoever." I told him.
"Excellent." He said with a hint of approval, "Now that we've gotten that out of the way, it's time for training. I assume it is safe to say that your power level is above a hundred thousand? After all, you did give that spiteful little shit Frieza a good thrashing."
A hundred thousand, huh?
Seems as though Cooler didn't mention my true capabilities to them. Or he correctly assumed that I would have lost my power boost once I returned to normal from my Evil Saiyan state.
Tough to say, really.
"I'm above a hundred thousand, yes." I nodded.
Salza nodded and said, "Good, then I would like you to come up and spar with me a little. Just enough so that I may gauge your true abilities."
I raise an eyebrow, but reluctantly step up to the Armored Squadron leader.
"Are you sure about this?" I asked him.
"Don't worry, this is just a test, I will not go all out." He said, failing to realize that it wasn't my safety that I was worrying about.
"Alright then..." I muttered, getting into a lazy stance.
Great...
First day on the job and I'm about to beat the shit out of my boss...
