Chapter 58 - Chapter 57 - The Black Star Dragon Balls

I hold my hands out in front of me, looking down at myself, seeing that my hands were a bit smaller than I remember.

Clenching my fist, I smirk as I saw the red aura of the Super Saiyan God form envelope not just my hand, but through my whole being, filling me with an eerie sense of calm.

"Aa--ah..."

Hearing the shocked murmurs coming from Lila, I look up and see the face she's make. One of both shock and worry.

Seeing this, I give her a small smile of reassurance.

"It's okay, I'm alright." I said to her, nodding my head.

I focus back on myself, checking over my body. There was this humming noise in my ears, this feeling inside of me that made me feel almost serene in a way. My Ki flowed inside my veins like a calm river flowing through a canal, filling me with energy that I've never felt before.

But it wasn't power, no, I didn't feel anything more than how I usually felt. But it was different. It's like I had been climbing a mountain for my entire life, only for me to have now just reached the summit, but the summit was also on the verge of collapse.

It is a surreal experience for sure.

Like I'm in complete control, but at the same time, on the precipice of some sort of catastrophic failure.

"What... What is this...?" Lila asked, causing my to look back at her, seeing that she was slowly taking steps to approach me. "Your energy... It's... It's that of a... of a--"

"A god." I cut her off, nodding my head at her assessment. "Yes, I know. This is another transformation available to us Saiyans. Similar to the other one that I showed you before. This is the Saiyan God form."

"Saiyan... God...?" She asked.

I changed the name up a bit, as it had always bothered me how absolutely god awful the names of the Saiyan god forms were.

The red haired form resembles one's base, so it should've been labeled Saiyan God, with Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan, or Super Saiyan Blue, having the name Super Saiyan God instead. After all, Blue is the Super Saiyan form of a Saiyan God.

In all honesty, I didn't want to transform into this form yet, as I wanted to undergo the God Ritual.

In the anime, Beerus said something about Goku's body adapting to the power, making it his own, which made people think that he absorbed the energy of the Super Saiyan God transformation into his base form.

Personally, I think that Goku's body had just adapted to that level of fighting, as is something that Saiyans have always been able to do. He didn't absorb the power into his base or anything like that, he just adapted to god level speed and strength, which made Beerus' overwhelming speed and attacks more easier to follow.

In the manga, he didn't absorb or adapt anything into his base form. Super Saiyan God was just a higher tier of transformation that Saiyans could achieve.

The problem was that I don't know which route this universe is deriving itself from. If it's the manga, fine, I didn't miss out on anything since it's just a transformation and I was stressing myself over nothing.

But if this was the anime, I have no idea if it was caused the strength of the other Saiyans pouring into one during the ritual, the transformation itself, or my theory his body adapting that pushed his base to god levels, which is why I was putting it off until later.

It was also why I planned on using even stronger Saiyans during the ritual.

If I could nurture everyone towards Super Saiyan 3 levels of strength, the power I would absorb into my base would have been astronomical. And if I could confirm the existence of Super Saiyan 4, I could grow them even more, potentially pushing myself towards Super Full Power Super Saiyan 4 Limit Breaker.

Or just Super Saiyan 4 Limit Breaker...

The chance of boosting my base form to god levels was just too good to pass up before. But I suppose I can't always get what I want. These Dragon Balls would definitely need more power than I could give them with just normal Super Saiyan.

"Just what are you Saiyans?" Lila asks as she places a hand on my shoulder, marveling at my new form.

I think on how I can answer that question for a moment before suddenly saying, "A celestial oversight."

"An... oversight?" Lila asked, tilting her head in confusion.

With all intents and purposes, Saiyans honestly should've never had been a race that existed.

Zamasu's art school reject ramblings aside, an entire race of people who have the potential to rival gods is not something that should've been created, or left to their own devices.

And that was just speaking about the current situation. Don't even get me started on the brokenness that was Ancient Saiyans and Arcosians.

Cumber is a prime example of why the Kais shouldn't have allowed the Saiyans to thrive as a species.

A Kaioken boosted Vegito Blue couldn't beat Cumber in his base, let alone when he finally turned Super Saiyan. With Ancient Saiyans ability to draw out more power from the transformations, I shudder to think about what would happen if Cumber ever obtained a form higher than Super Saiyan 3.

And do I even need to bring up the bullshit that was Black Frieza?

I swear, if it wasn't because of his forms technically being restrictions members of their race put on themselves rather than actual transformations, Arcosians would have almost as many transformations as Saiyans do.

Canonically speaking, anyway...

"Don't worry about it." I told her, shaking my head.

I turn back towards the would be Dragon balls, holding my arms out towards them, ready to start the process of creation when I was suddenly stopped by Lila.

"Wait!" She called out, placing her hands on my arm, trying to push it back down but was failing miserably.

I look at her with a bit of confusion and ask, "What? What is it?", wondering why she was trying to stop me.

"Are you sure you should be doing this?" She asked, finally taking her hands away once she saw I had my attention on her, "You said that you've never done this before. Shouldn't you get used to being in the form first before doing something like this?"

She brought up a very good point. The form was very unstable due to my lack of experience with it.

"Don't worry. All I'll be doing is transferring my energy over towards the spheres as I use the technique to bring the dragon to life. It's simple enough to do without needing to much effort." I told her.

She looks at me for a moment, still apprehensive even after my explanation.

"I guess we'll see about that..." She mutters as she takes a step back.

"It'll be fine." I said before turning towards the dragon model and stone spheres.

I raise my arms up towards them once more and prepare to speak the Divine Language.

I was doing this for two reasons.

One, I didn't want just anybody accessing the Black Star Dragon Balls. Sure, I'm not exactly a saint, but I'd rather not have an idiot stumble upon them and end up destroying seven planets because they didn't know the rules.

Two, in the off chance that the Divine Language somehow made the Super Dragon Balls as powerful as they were, then I wasn't taking any chances of making this set weaker than they could've been.

"By my name..."

As those words left my mouth, Lila's eyes went wide as saucers.

Poor girl is gonna have a heart attack if she keeps getting surprised like this. Though I suppose that's my fault.

She didn't have a chance to question it as a white light started to emanate from my hands, the model and stone balls on the floor sparking with the same energy.

"I give my energy unto to you, so that you may take you first breaths in this world, newborn dragon eternal..."

Suddenly, my energy started to disperse towards the stone balls, surrounding them in the red godly energy of my Saiyan God form.

The air picked up around us, and unbeknownst to me at the current moment, Lila heard the lightning above strike harder and more frequently, which caused her to look up at the sky and see that the purple lightning had shifted to a bright crimson.

I suddenly felt my energy start siphoning into the spheres at an accelerated rate, more than I was putting in a second ago. My body then started to feel weak, as if my energy was not only being used as a conduit, but as if the dragon was actively seeking more and more of it.

Fine, if that's how this dragon wants to play it, then I guess I'll just have to give it a feast!

"Oh, violent dragon, consume the blood of the gods and sever the dark clouds of Heaven!"

The red energy surrounding the orbs suddenly erupted towards the sky. A silhouette of a large dragon taking shape as I continue on with my chant.

"Take flight, Eternal Dragon of Death, and by answer my call through this name, and this name alone!"

Suddenly, the silhouette was no more as a red dragon burst out from within and shot up towards the sky, taking flight for the very first time.

"Manifest, Bahamut!"

A loud roar echoed across the planet as I shouted its name. The vibrations from its roar causing everything on the planet to shake so violently that it felt as though the planet itself was coming undone.

But I didn't care about that.

As I looked up at the sky and marveled at menacing red dragon above, the only feeling that I had flowing through me was pride.

Because I had done it.... I had actually done it...

I created an Eternal Dragon of my own...

My god form faded and I felt lightheaded, my vision darkening as I hear Lila shout out my name.

"Zyleth!"
