I hate that word concubine. I don't just want to be his concubine. I don't know why, but the word sounds like a term for a glorified whore! And even though that was what I was supposed to be in the first place, I want to believe that things are different now. He's given me the liberty to do lots of things.
He's given me the freedom to make choices. To pick what I do and don't want.
And this is one thing I don't want. I don't want to be a concubine.
"I already told you, you're not just a—"
"I know what you said." I quickly interrupt him. "I know you said I'm not just a concubine, but still no matter how you look at it, for now, that is what I am. That is what you brought me here to be in the first place."
"Kiva—"
"Leonis please just let me talk." I place a palm over his mouth, stopping him from saying anything more.
"I don't want to remain you concubine. If you want me with you, then you'll have to make me your girlfriend." I say and pull my hand from his mouth.
