"Oh," Gu Xuehan nodded obediently, though she couldn't help feeling a little disappointed.
Truthfully, the jewelry store wasn't particularly high-end, and what she wanted wasn't something expensive.
As long as it was from Ye Fei, even the cheapest copper ring would have made her happy. Unfortunately, the oblivious Ye Fei hadn't yet realized this.

Just as Ye Fei and Gu Xuehan were about to leave, a voice filled with disdain came from the side.
Turning around, they saw a heavily made-up woman clinging to a man's arm, sneering at them.
"Oh, Sister Hong, what a coincidence to see you here," Gu Xuehan greeted the woman coolly, clearly recognizing her. She then whispered to Ye Fei, "She's a new hire at the company. She played a minor role in one of our recent films."
