Reaching into my backpack, I pulled out a few dynamite sticks. With a steady hand, I carefully tied the dynamite sticks to the back of the treasure box. As I finished setting up the explosives, a mix of excitement and trepidation coursed through my veins. This act would undoubtedly create a grand spectacle, but I also understood the potential risks involved. Like how the treasure box might not handle the blast and break into a million piece with me in it. Nevertheless, my adventurous spirit urged me forward, yearning for a moment of exhilaration and a departure that would be remembered for the rest of my life.
With a deep breath, I struck the match against a rough surface, igniting the flame that would set my plan in motion. The flame danced at the tip of the match, casting an eerie glow in the dimly lit cave. Time seemed to stand still as I held my breath, the anticipation building with each passing second.
Without hesitation, I touched the flame to the fuse, and a sizzling sound filled the air. The countdown had begun. I quickly hid inside the treasure box, waiting for the loud bang. I screamed from the top of my lungs. "Blast off!"
Boom!
An ear-shattering explosion erupted, sending shockwaves through the place. The juice blasted in all directions as the force of the blast propelled the box forward with tremendous speed. The box transformed into a roaring projectile, hurtling towards the exit. And then, with a thunderous bang, the box burst out of the cave, emerging into the open air with a triumphant roar.
Plop.
Plop.
Plop.
The plops of the chest hitting the ground echoed in the air.
With a mix of exhaustion and exhilaration, I opened the lid of the chest. A gentle fresh breeze brushed against my face. "I'm the pooped out survivor!" I exclaimed, my voice resounding with a mix of exhaustion, humor, and a hint of defiance. "Oh! The fresh air! I miss it so much!"
As my words lingered in the air, a sense of freedom washed over me. I had emerged from the horrifying rabbit monster's body and battled through monstrous creatures. The journey had tested my limits, both physically and mentally, but I had persevered.
The audience erupted into cheers. The energy in the air was palpable, and the outburst of Ronald's scream only added to the dramatic atmosphere. "A-A-A GHOST!!!" Startled, he stumbled backward, his fear getting the better of him once again, and he fainted, collapsing onto the ground.
As I turned around, my eyes were met with a gruesome and unsettling scene. The rabbit monster, once lively and threatening, now lay before me with its body torn in half. Blood seeped from its wounds, staining the ground with red. A wave of disgust washed over me as I took in the sight.
Rona, caught up in the moment, pointed at me. "Lil killed poor rabbit! Lil the rabbit killer!"
"Hey, it's not my fault that the rabbit monster has tons of grenade in its tummy." I shouted back in defence.
Rona looked at me in disbelief and confusion. "Rabbit has grenades in their tummy?"
I teased Rona and said. "Yes and this is what happens when you simply eat things. It Kaboom!"
As Rona processed my unexpected and exaggerated remark, her eyes widened in disbelief and confusion. The absurdity of the situation seemed to overwhelm her, causing her to lose her balance and fall backward onto the ground.
With her mouth still agape, Rona landed on her butt, a look of astonishment on her face. It was clear that what I said had taken her by surprise.
She blinked a few times, seemingly regaining her composure, and nodded. "So... As long Rona doesn't eat grenades, Rona won't kaboom!"
I shook my head and rushed towards Rona. I extended a hand to help her up. Rona graciously accepted, and with a gentle tug, she rose to her feet, dusting off her clothing.
Mimi looked at me in disgust. "You're the most disgusting person I've met."
I ignored Mimi's word and frantically search for my treasure chest. My heart sank when I realized that my treasure chest had vanished. Panic gripped me, and I dropped to my knees, overcome with despair. Tears streamed down my face as I lamented the loss of my beloved treasure chest.
"Why... hegh... hegh... hegh... My treasure chest... Wah!" I sobbed uncontrollably, my voice filled with anguish and confusion. "Our precious memories together... Huhuhu..."
As Ronald's eyes fluttered open, he found me on the ground, tears streaming down my face like a distraught child. The sight took him aback, and his confusion deepened as he tried to make sense of the fragmented memories that resurfaced.
Rubbing his temples, Ronald recalled the time before he fainted to the ground. "After Lil managed to escape from the rabbit monster's body, I screamed and then fainted," His voice filled with a mix of surprise and embarrassment. "No wonder I don't remember anything."
"So... What happened to Llyne?" Rona asked Rona and pointed at Lil, voice filled with concern.
Rona replied with a simple statement. "Lil lost her treasure chest."
Ronald's eyebrows furrowed, his gaze shifting between Rona and me. "Treasure chest? What treasure chest?"
"The one she got out from after she blasted out from the rabbit's butt." Rona giggled.
Ronald's eyes widened in confusion. After a moment of silence, Ronald finally nodded, his confusion still evident. "Oh, that treasure chest."
Ronald moved closer and gently placed a hand on my back, offering a comforting pat. I turned my head to meet Ronald's compassionate gaze. I puled in frustration. "My precious treasure chest is gone." Ronald patted my head and smiled. "I know. I know." Rona walked towards us, laid on my lap and stared at me. She pouted and said. "Rona more precious." I chuckled and agreed.
Meanwhile, Mimi's frustration began to simmer beneath the surface. The shift in attention and focus toward our exchange seemed to have taken the spotlight away from her, leaving her feeling overshadowed.
I could sense the tension in the air, and I turned my attention towards Mimi, noticing the frustration etched on her face. I spoke up, my voice filled with sarcasm remarks. "Mimi, I apologize. It was not our intention to take the spotlight from you. We didn't realize we were such great entertainer compared to you. Heh," I smirked.
Mimi's frustration reached its peak, and she let out a scream of fury. In her state of agitation, she started pressing buttons on the screen like a mad person. To our dismay, the three monsters we had previously defeated began to regenerate, their menacing forms closing in on us once more.
"Ack! My big mouth is going to kill us again. I'm sorry, Rona and Ronald," I exclaimed, voice filled with regret and worry.
"Rona is okay." Rona laughed.
"I'm used to it already." Ronald laughed weakly.
As the three monsters closed in on us, tension thickened in the air, and our hearts raced with a mix of fear and determination. However, just as it seemed that our situation was becoming dire, a sudden clap resonated through the air.
Startled, we turned our attention to one of the Masters who had intervened. With a commanding presence, the Master's handclap seemed to have halted the monsters' movements. We sighed as we realized the immediate danger had been temporarily averted.
As Mimi observed the Masters, a sense of confusion clouded her expression. Suddenly a notification chimed, breaking the tension. Mimi's eyes widened as she read the message on her screen. Mimi nodded and announced. "Everyone, I just received a notification. The Masters had chosen their disciple. Therefore, the ceremony has come to an end."
As I looked at Mimi in confusion, questioning whether our participation in the ceremony had ended prematurely, a sense of uncertainty and disappointment washed over me. Had we not been chosen? The lack of clarity left me with more questions than answers.
Ronald's panic echoed in his voice, his fear aggravated the situation. "Oh no! Will we become Munchy's food? What do we do? What do we do?"
But Mimi seemed to brush off our concerns. She proceeded to thank everyone for their participation and bid them farewell with a cheerful tone. "Thank you all for coming, and I hope you all have a great day ahead. Bye all~," Mimi's voice trailed off as she disappeared from the screen.
Suddenly, a wave of drowsiness washed over us, clouding our thoughts and slowing our movements. We tried to utter a word of frustration, but before we could finish our sentence, we collapsed to the ground, overcome by a profound weariness.
As I lay unconscious, my senses enveloped in an impenetrable darkness, a familiar sensation washed over me. The absence of light obscured my vision, rendering me unable to discern any objects or forms. It felt reminiscent of the time I first encountered Lyndall.
I stood up and called out into the void. "Lyndall, where are you? Stop playing hide and seek and come on out. I know you are here."
My voice echoed into the darkness, its sound engulfed by the seemingly infinite expanse surrounding me. Silence greeted my words, as if the void itself held its breath, withholding any response.
In the absence of a direct reply, I closed my eyes and focused on my inner sense of intuition, seeking a connection to Lyndall's presence.
Slowly, I began to sense a faint presence, feeling unsure, I called out to Lyndall again. "Lyndall," I whispered softly.
