Upon arrival at Maple House, Xaviera Evans was about to go upstairs to take a bath, but was embraced by Caleb Mamet and led to the backyard of Maple House. In a small pavilion, there were two lounge chairs, a table with hot coffee, and exquisite pastries.
"The moon is so round tonight, it's the perfect time to enjoy the moonlight with you," Caleb said with a light sigh.
A gust of autumn wind blew by, causing Xaviera to shiver. Enjoying the moon outside in the middle of the night?
It seemed that Caleb noticed her shivering, as he undid the buttons on his coat and wrapped her petite body directly in his embrace. His voice, filled with amusement, reached her ears: "You're wearing so little. Are you cold?"
"Girls love to look pretty!" Xaviera sniffed.
Xaviera leaned in Caleb's embrace, her whole body warm. Yet she couldn't help but feel puzzled. Why had Caleb suddenly brought her to enjoy the moon? Was today some special day?
