Demian took the orb from him. He was curious about what the former Headmaster had planned but kept his questions to himself.
The group of five landed outside the Academy's city. They quickly discarded their disguises before heading back to the Academy.
Demian, not wanting to leave Remi alone, pulled him off to the side. "You can all head back first." Not waiting for an answer, he led Remi up to the library and to a quiet nook with no one around.
"Are you alright?" He asked after getting them situated. The nook had a large cushioned seat tucked into the wall. Remi was sitting in between Demian's legs and Demian's arms were wrapped around him.
"Yeah. Just feeling a little disappointed."
Disappointed? Shouldn't he be feeling relieved?
"The fight just felt so anticlimactic." Remi said before Demian could even say anything. "And the Cardinal's reasoning behind all the assassination attempts seemed a bit lacking and foolish-lile it was just overkill."
