He did not understand a single thing that had happened. They were supposed to be working on a weak female and a human as such. Most of the Faes thought humans to be beneath them and did not take them seriously.
When he had appeared there, wanting to bow to her…. what a ridiculous notion! But then looking at the scene unfolding in front of him made him gasp, momentarily forgetting his position and his abilities.
The three guards hit the ground hard, skidding across the cold floor as if an unseen force had swatted them away like insects. One whipped past him, and the other hit a wall adjacent to him.
He was not sure where the third one was and the tiny voice at the back of his mind seemed to be prompting him that there was no wall in his immediate vicinity. However, he was too shocked to register this. Their grunts of pain filled the silence, but no one dared move.
