Keira Leaf nodded subtly, sighed softly, and stood up, "Then I'll be heading back now; it's getting late, and you should head back and rest soon too."
Keira Leaf had not taken many steps before Shane Winchester suddenly called out to her, "Do you know what Alice Smith's plans are for the future?"
Keira stopped, turned her head to look at him, and replied, "Probably just to find someone who loves her and get married, I guess. I don't know if she'll be able to meet another man like Tony."
Shane's gaze stalled, and he couldn't help but say, "Can't she have other plans?"
Keira looked up at him. Under the cold moonlight, his eyes held a hint of hidden pain and confusion, making him appear somewhat heartbroken.
Keira couldn't help but freeze in her tracks. Why did she feel like he actually didn't want Alice to leave him?
