She took a step aside but soon placed her hands on the surface of the table to support her body when she felt her head throb more. Closing her eyes to subside the dizziness, she let out a gasp when she felt her feet lose support from the ground.
In reflex, Joanna wrapped her arms around Canillas' neck, who, in a sudden move and without saying anything, carried her in his arms. "What are you doing? Put me down," Joanna demanded while wriggling in Canillas' arms, trying to make Canillas put her back on the ground.
"No! Put me down!" Joanna demanded again but sounded more panicked with her eyes widening when she noticed where Canillas was carrying her, not heeding her previous demand.
